8am 21st Feb 2012 Update.
Hundreds que outside Cardiff City Stadium from 5am today including many touts from London etc for the 1,500 extra tickets Cardiff City received from Wembley yesterday.
Great news for many City fans, but sadly many tickets will probably get in Liverpool fans hands and who will be in the Cardiff end on the day of the game, causing a major headache for the Metropolitan Police.
6pm 20th Feb 2012 Update.
Cardiff City Football Club has requested and received its full allocation of Carling Cup Final tickets, with additional tickets being received from the Football League today (Monday).
Following the previous windows of sale, we are delighted to announce that an increased number of 1,500 tickets will go on general sale as of 10am on Tuesday morning. These will only be available to Cardiff City supporters registered on our database prior to the Carling Cup semi-final against Crystal Palace.
Supporters purchasing tickets will be eligible to do so on the premise of one ticket per valid fan number. No more than two tickets will be sold to one person. All ticket office staff will be instructed to cross-check previous booking history for validity. Tickets must be bought from Cardiff City Stadium Ticket Office in person. We will be monitoring queues and implementing a cut-off strategy once we feel that supply has been satisfied.
Naturally in such circumstances there will be disappointment for those who are not fortunate enough to secure a ticket. We apologise for this in advance, though assure supporters that we have requested and received an increased and full ticket allocation.
Please do not call the regular ticket office number for purchasing Carling Cup Final tickets on Tuesday. Carling Cup Final tickets will only be sold at the Stadium Ticket Office to supporters in person. Ticket Office lines will be kept open for other Stadium events.
2pm. 20th Feb 2012 UPDATE .
There are about 800 tickets left, anyone on the City Database and there are about 60,000 on there can now purchase a ticket.
7.30pm UPDATE. 19th Feb 2012.
WEMBLEY SALES: 1,000 SOLD ON SUNDAY
Sun 19 Feb 2012
The first day of Carling Cup Final ticket availability for Away Travel Members, Stadium Card Holders and Academy Foundation Members saw a healthy fifty per cent of remaining tickets sold across all platforms.
Starting Sunday with approximately 2,000 remaining tickets, Cardiff City will have roughly 1,000 still available on Monday from 9am.
At this stage Carling Cup Final tickets can still be purchased by Ambassadors, Season Ticket Holders, Away Travel Members, Stadium Card Holders and Academy Foundation Members only - all of whom to those who have yet to purchase.
We currently envisage that all remaining tickets will be sold over the course of Monday, either by personal callers to the stadium or via Ticketmaster powered eTicketing or their dedicated sales hotline. Of these services, eTicketing is a 24 hour option.
We will publish our next update later on Monday evening, from which point we will know if tickets will reach the stage open for general sale.
UPDATE 17th FEB 10.00pm
I don't think any City fan will forget last September when Mikey was tragically killed outside the turnstiles at Wembley stadium and one thing is for sure Mikey will never be forgotten by his family and friends and everyone connected with our great club.
I had a call from Wayne Nash this afternoon, who informed me that an area has been set aside between two turnstiles at Wembley at the City end where fans can pay their respects, lay flowers, messages, flags, shirts etc.
The club will be stewarding the area and will take some of the flags and shirts that were laid in memory of Mikey outside the Ninian Park gates to Wembley and that our club will be laying a wreath and so will Liverpool FC.
On Sunday I will receive the exact details of what area has been designated and I will post more details when I receive them.
RIP Mikey.
UPDATE 16th FEB 9.00pm
So far 27,800 tickets have been sold and having spoken to a club official this evening I have been told that all away travel members will get a ticket if they wish to have one.
Stadium ticket card holders will then have the option to buy a ticket also.
UPDATE 13th FEB 5pm
Today the club sold another 11,000 tickets for Wembley.
Monday has seen another solid day of Carling Cup Final sales, with over 22,000 tickets now sold.
UPDATED 13th FEB 9am
Cardiff City Football Club would like to thank all Ambassadors and Season Ticket Holders for their patience and understanding over the course of the first day of Wembley ticket sales. On Sunday the club has so " far sold over 11,000 tickets ", approximately half of this number via phone or Internet based Ticketmaster services.
On a day of high demand, Sunday's ticket sales for our historic Carling Cup Final match, in particular those directed to our Ticketmaster provided online and telephone services were affected by technical issues outside of the control of the Club. This, coupled with high numbers of first day demand had made it more difficult to secure Carling Cup Final seats than we would have hoped.
