I don't think so, this recession isn't finished, and there's no chance of a row at Ipswich :D

I see what you mean its the hardcore fans turning out to support the team and becoming a more together bunch :ayatollah:

no proper prices proper trips to watch your team give 100% simple.

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

I simply can't get to Ipswich. Uni and lack of finances are another factor.

I'm sure plenty of people who'd go to other games that are "easier" to access will be worried about spending hours driving back through East Anglia in the dead of night as well - and anybody who went to Preston or Barnsley must be a sodding lunatic to want to go to another culturally desolate place to see our team put so little passion in.

Oh, and I'd rather go to Leicester on the weekend which is what I'm doing.

And am I right in saying tickets for Ipswich are closer to £30?

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

I think people are missing the point of this thread, it's not about who is or is not going to Ipswich, It's about the irony of us fans who turn out in bigger numbers away from home when we are in lower leagues averaging lower home support :ayatollah:

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

Carl - i prefered to watch the lower league games and i am probably the only one that DOES NOT want to go up to championship! :ayatollah:

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

I think it's more to do with the way watching football has become a lot more expensive over the years.Once upon a time you could watch a game without breaking the bank, now it takes up a lot of peoples disposable income. An away game for me & my 2 boys will often average out at around £150 by the end of the day. It's become a luxury that families are struggling to meet.

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

Your all missing the point, What I am saying is when Cardiff City struggled in the lower leagues OUR FANS BONDED what was left of them and it was fantastic. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

When you get higher up the league the more fans you get the bigger the divide becomes.

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

Thu Mar 04, 2010 9:54 pm

ON a friday night to Colchester in the lower divisions we took 1,500.

IF WE WENT BUST And started again in the non leagues, I bet you our Support would be FANTASTIC AWAY FROM HOME.
I am not wishing it on us though.

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

loyal supporters fella, but where would we play? jubilee park?

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

Thu Mar 04, 2010 10:02 pm

i think people are disgruntled with the way footall is being run in this time
years ago there was none of this corporate nonsense you get now or
divvy stewards caneing you for actually supporting our club[how dare we ah] jus die hard
supporters who would come off various jobs around the valleys and
cardiff to come as one on a saturday support the players they
loved cos the players loved the club unlike some players these days.
and theres abubble trip virtually every game where you have to meet police
to be escorted to the ground!!!its just the way it is now!!!

Allways said those days in the lower divisions were the best.

Re: FOOTBALL FANS

my reason for not goin to ipswich is simple MONEY. have a season ticket, and recent away games since christmas are taking there toll on the bank ballance, bristol away x2, chelsea, preston, booked up for leicester and coventry, alot more good away trips to come, forest, derby, qpr, palace. so the easiest one to save on is a trip to ipswich. :ayatollah:
