her stance on the falklands was faultless, the woman stood her ground and united britain, i must admit to a bit of a soft spot for old maggie, i will have to read her book.

She was working class like the rest of us. In a way a working class hero in that she had no time for idiots, middle/upper class tossers. To be honest I was once a member of the blind that couldn't see through all the shit, took me a few years but yep, got this country out of a whole load of shite and gave us back a little bit of pride.

The miners could have and would have been sorted out by the removal of scargill. A lot of the government papers of the time were declassified a few years back but the present socialist government decided that should be re-classified under the "thirty year" option. I wonder why?

Even the BBC drama-documentry on her was reasonably fair. Oh for those days again when we had proper politicians. I was an admirer of Dennis Skinner, a real socialist, I didn't agree with his view point but had a lot of respect for the man himself. Michael Foot who recently passed on, another from the old days who earned respect from all, stiched up by his own socialist friends. I have very little respect for the so called politicians of modern times from any of the main parties, the liberal bloke seems about the best of very bad bunch.

Anyway, Wombats bed time, the female politicians will be here shortly so I have to a little shave before the debate starts, don't want look scruffy in my FA Cup final shirt.

Wasn't her government responsible for neglecting the Falklands and running down the defence budget in the first place - encouraging the Argentinians to invade?
