On arrival at Cardiff City Stadium last summer, Malky Mackay made it very clear that he wanted to set about re-establishing a working ethos at the Football Club – one of loyalty, work-rate & commitment to the cause. He began building a squad that embodied his own passion on the field – & it was one that if relatively small in number, triumphed time & again with its large, collective heart.
This summer, with the support of our Malaysian investors, Cardiff City’s squad for the 2012/13 campaign looks stronger, fitter & more competitive perhaps than ever before. Malky was able to welcome Craig Bellamy back to Cardiff City in time for the kick-off of the 2012/13 campaign as one of a number of key signings drafted in to enable the Club to compete consistently towards the top of the Championship table. Exciting South Korean prospect Kim Bo-Kyung joined the Club on the back of his participation in the London 2012 Olympics, while future England prospect Jordon Mutch, proven Premier League hit-man Heidar Helguson & the enigmatic Tommy Smith joined a host of other new recruits. Here’s to a successful season!
