Pompey to Colchester
Sorry, I got it wrong by 6 miles.
car 147 miles each way = 294 round trip.
We are talking about Division 4 football and their 3rd year in a row there, after two relegations , not top Championship football.
Pompey took 2,500 away to Colchester and they double our away support on average.
We took to Reading 2,348 fans, but we turn up three times a season away and thats our best this season.

Bit of confusion here sorry, I thought you was saying it was a 300 miles round trip from Pompey to Stevenage.
I am not knocking their support but nevertheless I'm just saying its a close trip and they are in an automatic promotion spot and played a team that are also going for 3rd place, I'm not that surprised they took 1400, I don't think its that impressive.

As it's been stated they are in 4th tier of English football irrelevant of league position costs still close to what we pay in championship yet they still turn up in numbers! These fans should be applauded at every opportunity not having excuses made about how they managed to get 1500 average figures.
Well done Pompey one of the best fans in Britain and a superb atmosphere at their ground ...f**k MK that's who should be knocked
