' NEIL WARNOCK REVEALS MORE CITY PLAYERS NEED TO LEAVE '
Neil Warnock Speaking after the game on Friday evening, Warnock revealed: “There are players who were here tonight who won’t be here at the start of the season – I think fans might guess who without me telling them really.
“You never know in football, I thought I wanted three players a few weeks ago and I’ve only wanted one now.
“I’ll know more once we get the regular team playing, but I don’t envisage going at it with more than 21 or so this season.
“There’ll be a few lads left at home for Cornwall this week, we’ll take about 20 to get the three games in.”
"I have already decided that three or four need to leave, it maybe more after our pre-season games, hopefully that is not the case"
Warnock said earlier this summer that he expects Craig Noone to depart.

I would expect he means to sell/release
Ben wilson
Craig noone
Declan john
Stuart o'keef
One of Fred gounongbe or Idris saadi
Loan out
Ibrahim Meite
Mark Harris
Matty Kennedy
Possibly Rhys Healy to get some post injury game time.
That would drop us down to around 21/22 players.

I really believe matty Kennedy has something about him and expect him to make a impact if given the chance

I think if we shift 3/4 perm and then 1/2 on loan there's a good chance of a late signing.

We still look weak in centre midfield to be honest. If we get a couple of injuries we'll have serious problems. Hopefully, a few will leave - Fred, Declan, Noone and Wilson - meaning we can bring in a dominant midfielder with experience at this level. Derby just signed Huddlestone for example and both Ledley and Adam are available.
Worth paying the wages, if they aren't totally o.t.t.

Neil Warnock: Cardiff manager warns of more player departures
BBC
Sunday 16th July 2017
Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock says he will trim his squad further before the new season begins.
Peter Whittingham, Rickie Lambert and Emyr Huws have already left the Championship side.
Wingers Craig Noone and Anthony Pilkington, plus left-back Declan John could also be surplus to requirements at Cardiff City Stadium.
"There's players who won't be here at the start of the season," Warnock confirmed.
"Fans might guess without me telling them really. I don't envisage going with more than about 21 or 22 players this year."
"If you get a wrong attitude that's when you get injured, so I was pleased with our lads and it was a great night all round."
