Tomlin & Manga Left on the Bench

Don't you just love a bit of strength in depth.

Not a bad pair left in the tank for when they are needed.

Next thing you know we'll be squad rotating.

We've got a hell of a bench now, which is exactly what's warnock was asking for last season. I was disappointed to see Tomlin on the bench today and thought our starting lineup appeared to lack creativity - bloody hell, was I wrong!

I thought Neil had got it wrong not playing tomlin 2day but we didn't need skill to unlock villa today our pace did them. Sheff utd on Tuesday May need unlocking and we now have a fresh tomlin. In Warnock we trust.

I thought Neil got it spot on when I seen the teamsheets but then after 15mins I wasn't so sure, midfield looked odd but a slight rejig and we were brilliant

I don't think I'd change a thing. The midfield 3 today didn't give Villa a minutes peace.

Sheff Utd will need the same treatment.

If we need more creativity then we can use the bench

Why would u change a team who won convincingly, unless there was any fatigue there.

I think it was the plan to bring Manga Ward and Tomlin up 2nd half initially but when Villa rolled over and the players on the pitch playing to well to sub seemed silly to make rash decisions. I think he expected us to soak up a constant Villa attack playing a solid back 4, and then revert second half to his favoured 3 at the back pop Tomlin on and then Zohore for Ward to wind the game out but in the end his first part of the Plan did too well lmao
