PRESTON TONIGHT

My Opinion

(1) Preston's two key players Pearson and Johnson - who play in the 2 central mid-field positions are definately out tonight.

They will be replaced by Browne and Gallagher who are ok but are really just a make do cover. I firmly believe that our 3 mid-field players will unlock their resistance.

(2) I now expect that Warnock will play the same team as vs Fulham - but I know from a very reliable source that he had decided to start with Ward & drop Zohore only to change his mind & give Zohore more time.

I think Gunners will be rested for Saturday and Richards and Manga will come in so we play 3 at the back with 2 wing backs.

Bryson and Ralls midfield with Ward possibly coming in for either Hoilett/Laing.

Zohore will play and Bogle will be on the bench to come on for him after 60 min.

I have seen every game this season and have to agree. He may not have scored but has caused so much attention that it has given others the space to thrive. Thought he had his best spell at Fulham just before Warnock took him off.

Well said, isn't the point of a 2 week break for players not on international duty to get a rest and just work on the training ground.

Warnock knows how to win these types of games

Warnock isn't the type of manager to read too much into the form book. Indeed he's already argued that his team should be seen as underdogs from now on, and he is likely to be aware of Cardiff's difficulties against Preston in recent years - Alex Neil's side have won six of their last eight home encounters with the Bluebirds.

But that record won't dampen the spirit of Warnock, who has so often been the scourge of Preston, losing just one of his last 16 meetings as a manager.

He'll know exactly what's required to overcome them again.

With the way things are going, you wouldn't bet against him delivering.

I honestly can't see there being that many changes.
