You think 18,000 is good including 2,300 Wednesday fans ?

Unfortunately Cardiff's fickle fans have proven time and again over the years that it only takes a couple of poor results to give them all the reasons they need to be doing something else on a Saturday afternoon.

I think we'll struggle to get over 20,000.

Correct, a draw and a defeat in our last 2 games is enough for many to stay away.

My estimate is just over 18000.

Not sure why would expect bigger crowd than we have been having this season considering last two results! 18k will be good even with 2k wed fans, time to expect bigger crowds is in another 10 games or so when its more certain we can challenge for playoffs!

My opinion for what its worth :D

We had 18,520 against QPR with the 500 odd from QPR so 18,000 home fans.

If Sheffield Wednesday bring what is being said, 2,200 and we maintain our crowd then a 20,000+ is not out of the question.

Personally though I would not be surprised to see it drop slightly but not to much, we need at attack the issue of the walk up crowd and accept that match day prices need to drop, to start off. It doesn't matter what anybody else is doing or charging we just need to focus on us, and us alone. It doesn't matter if people think they are already cheap because they obviously are not cheap enough for some cos they aint coming!.

Season Tickets work out at £13 a game in the Canton and £16 a game in the Ninian Stand.

On the day with the charges it is £21 in the Canton and £23 in the Ninian Stand. The Flex ticket thing is ok but that still works out at £20 a game in the Ninian Stand and £16.50 a game in the Canton and some people might not want to spend that out in one go.

Personally I think we can and should go one step better as it is the WALK UP crowd that we need to attract. I would make it £15 a ticket in the Canton on the day, and £18 a ticket in the Ninian Stand. I'd open the top tier and charges £15 in there aswell.

yes i do..not talking here about myself..you..or others invested in the club.its about the infrequent fans.Villa are still a draw after 40 continuos years in prem and was our 1st home game..QPR was on the back of 4 straight wins. this game comes after a blip. and those extra fans weve been getting compared to last season wont have become stalwarts over 3 home games.
i think 18k is fine..will be chuffed if its 20k plus

For me it shows how poor supported we are.
Smaller Towns/Cities get similar home/away crowds than us and if they had been doing as well as us,they would be packed to the rafters.

Plus even clubs like Sheff Wed get 23,500 v Little Brentford on Tuesday night.

Bradford and Pompey get 18,500 and 21,500 plus home crowds.

And Exeter,Carlisle, Plymouth, Bristol Rovers, Grimsby take more than us to many Away games.
Yes we took 3,300 to Fulham, but that's a one if and most clubs on Saturdays take 3,000-4,000 there.

I honestly think we still have a problem in pulling our supporters from an area of nearly a million people to pull from.
