The introduced laws were the correct for the time. UK football had to go through a form of chemotherapy it was a mess, it had to have severe measure to kill the cancer of UK football hooliganism.
But UK football is in full remission, we have beaten the disease it's time to review these laws. Just look at the new stadiums that sprung up over the last 25 years. You can drink all game and watch the game on CCTV under the stands or many lounges, so whats the difference about taking the pint to your seat ?
On a personal note...I would like a non alcohol coaches available for those who don't want to be within the beer culture, and would like clubs and not government not to allow beer in the stands during the game, as its a pain in the arse with supporters going back and forth to the bar during the game. Get you pint or pints before the game and during half time
