Cardiff in Fulhams end.
Fulham v Cardiff August 1993. five minutes into the game which led to the game being stopped and plenty of prison time dished out. Jimmy Hill was outraged.
Cardiff have x's marked on their backs

I drove down from Nottingham where I was living at the time. An Everton supporting mate came with me. Outside it was carnage and he couldn't believe how many City were there.
He'd also never seen so much trouble
It was clear things could get nasty so I suggested we sit in the Grandstand.
We sat just behind Neil Kinnock and had a great view of all the nonsense.
I'm sure we won, maybe 3-1, and it was a crazy day.
Safe to say my mate was keen to come again !

If I remember correctly, someone managed to get the gates open and around a hundred of us stormed into the Grandstand, poor old Fulham didn't know what hit them
5 Live commentary, English Wigan V Welsh Wigan April 2013,
" it's gone a bit quiet with the Wigan fans and there aren't enough Swansea fans to make a noise"

Red T shirt, black cap, turning away, front row, right in the middle?

Remember it well. I was in hotel in Bali. It was the middle of the night and I was trying to follow updates on World service. As soon it said with a few minutes gone " We have to go across to Craven Cottage " I knew what was coming. They read the results out when the games were finished all bar ours due to the delay. They promptly turned off world service and it was 4 days before I actually found out the result. The world seemed a much bigger place in those days.

I saw John BDU that day, he’d taken a bad whacking from some Putney locals.. after the game outside the Dickens, Price was sitting bollock naked on a bar stool in the middle of the street..
It was one of those days...
