Tuesday 14th September 2017
Northern Ireland bosses are planning to offer Michael O’Neill an improved deal amid interest from Rangers, Scotland and USA.
The Irish FA is facing a fight to hold on to their manager but SSN understands O’Neill is in no rush to change jobs and will take time to assess his options following the disappointment of playoff defeat to Switzerland.
O’Neill is considered a prime candidate to replace Gordon Strachan by some members of the SFA Board, while it’s also believed he has supporters in the USA, who are yet to name Bruce Arena’s successor.
