BREAKING NEWS NEIL WARNOCK:
Friday 24th November 2017
NEIL WARNOCK:
"I think Kadeem (Harris) is back next week"
"Jazz (Richards) is improving and obviously Bogle misses his last game."
"Joe Ralls, who has been playing despite tight hamstrings"
NEIL WARNOCK:
Kenneth Zohore latest.
"Kenneth Zohore may make his Cardiff City return as soon as the Norwich City clash on December 1 after Neil Warnock revealed the striker has had an operation.
Zohore has been struggling with a heel injury — which has kept him sidelined since the Bluebirds' 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City on October 13 — meaning Danny Ward has enjoyed an extended run in the side."
But the Dane is close to making a full recovery after undergoing minor surgery, says Warnock.
"The surgeon said it shouldn’t be long. It’s just a healing process now. But he said we did the right thing in trying to manipulate it away and inject it."
"But he said he’d not seen scar tissue around that issue before, it’s very unusual. So Ken wasn’t lying when he said he was in pain."
"I don’t think it’ll be long. They said it would be a couple of weeks. I haven’t written Norwich off yet but I imagine definitely the game after."
Neil Warnock on Mendez-Laing:
"He has been having intensive treatment this week, we sent him down to Swansea this week to have some oxygen treatment which I’ve always found was very good."
"We’re hoping he’ll respond to that because there’s not a lot wrong now, just sprinting, we want to make sure he’s 100 per cent. He did some light work (on Thursday)."
' PREMIER LEAGUE / NEIL WARNOCK ASKED? '
NEIL WARNOCK:
"Not another one, everyone’s asking me that!"
"I don’t look further than the next few weeks, we’re miles away from getting promotion at the moment, we’ve only played 18 games so I don’t get carried away. I let other people talk about that. It’s only because I mentioned I don’t like the Premier League."
" I enjoy it here and I love working with the players. When you’re my age - I’m 69 on the Norwich game - you don’t know what’s around the corner, but I’ve had a few workouts this week so I feel good."
' XMAS COMING & INJIRIES "
NEIL WARNOCK:
"It is and obviously injuries don’t help. All clubs get an injury situation at some stage."
"I’m looking at other clubs thinking they may be fortunate at the moment. I’m disappointed but we have important games coming up and players are coming in."
"We’re not going to be as exciting because you’re bound to miss players like that but we will give the opposition a good game and pick some points up."
How can Cardiff City continue their promotion charge? Warnock has a simple solution...
NEIL WARNOCK:
"We need to keep winning! I’m not too bothered how we play at the moment until we get these players back."
"I told them it’s not going to be pretty, this time of year with injuries and suspensions, we have to make sure we’re organised and give ourselves a chance to just get points. Forest are having a good season and Mark’s turned it around there."
What chance a debut for Rolf Feltscher v Forest?
NEIL WARNOCK:
"I can’t see it at the moment when other people back. I put him on (the bench) the other night because haven’t got anyone else left sided if we needed it later on. He can get up and down and put crosses in."
"Whether I’ll use him on Sunday I don’t know until I know the numbers."
Bryson's running stats off the charts!
NEIL WARNOCK:
"Last Saturday we covered more ground than we covered all season on our stats. Certain players like Bryson were off the charts. To regroup and put that in on Tuesday night as well, in difficult conditions, I have to take my hat off."
"I’m quite pleased it’s Sunday to be honest, it gives an extra day as we didn’t get back till half past three in the morning - I was shattered the next day. But, it all depends on the day. I’m sure our lads will be up for it and our fans will give a good following."
"We had some brave 200-odd the other night in terrible conditions on a Tuesday night in Barnsley, all credit to them. They made themselves heard as well which was good - I suppose you had to sing to keep warm!"
Warnock is loving the Ashes!
NEIL WARNOCK"
"I love me cricket. We were going to go to South Africa and we had to cancel it when Sharon developed breast cancer. We’d booked to go on a safari and then to Cape Town and see a few test matches. It was unfortunate."
