Is it true Fulham only sold 1,700 Of 3,000 allocation at Derby? Poor if that's true. Saw it on Twitter.

Yeah it's true, from Fulham website :

Remaining tickets for Friday’s Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final First Leg against Derby County have now been made available for General Sale.

Follow Fulham Away and get behind the Whites at Pride Park, with all supporters now able to purchase up to six tickets each for the tie.

Shocking support.

Hold your horses now a sec.

It's not really shocking support is it? first of all it's Fulham, they have historically got one of the worst away following's in the football league, they brought 600 here on boxing day and hardly ever used to sell out in the Premiership.

Also, less than a week ago they took 4,000 to Birmingham which I was amazed at.

Fulham to Derby is slightly further than Cardiff to Southampton, now if the boot was on the other foot and we had just taken 4,000 away and missed out on promotion on the final day and then less than a week later had to play say Southampton, how confident are you we would sell 2,000 tickets, Friday Night on Sky.

Before you answer, let me remind you we took 1,500 to Burnley the day we WON THE LEAGUE , did not sell out for Crystal Palace in the Semi Final of the Carling Cup and took less than 1,000 to Norwich the other week.

Let's not criticise other teams away support until ours is unquestionable I suggest.

My Picks.

Boro, Shrewsbury and Coventry.

Championship

I don't really have anything against any of the 4 Clubs, Derby can get ruled out because of Snowgate but I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see them win it in a one of final if they can beat Fulham over 2 legs, they are the one team in it with probably no expectations? Villa, again, big Club, they should be in the Premiership really, Birmingham should have a team in the top Division but I have gone for Boro as I quite like Tony Pulis and they seem like a working mans Club like us.

League One

Shrewsbury had a fantastic season for the size of the Club and what they have been competing against. They finished 16 points clear of Charlton is 6th but everyone knows the rules at the start of the season so its not about that. The other 3 Charlton, Rotherham and Scunthorpe have all had a fair crack at the Champioship in the past and some new blood would be good for the division IMO.

League Two

Coventry are to big a Club to be in League 2, their fans have been through it but they are still a fairly big Club in my eyes and I hope they can get back up the Leagues. I love Devon but I'm not a fan of Exeter City, always seen them as a bit of a nothing Club, slightly harsh? maybe. For Notts County, see Exeter.

Derby going up would give us a rival/grudge match. Plus they are crap. I hope Fulham don’t make it so we can snap up their full back on a free.

Fair points RV. I was amazed how many they took to Brum too. Must be their biggest following in years.

That's why I'm surprised they haven't taken more to Derby. Appreciate it's short notice, disappointment, Fri night, Sky etc. Sounding there like our fans' excuses up until a few weeks ago! ;)

Championship Play-Offs start in 15 minutes with Derby v Fulham.

I can see Derby getting a result tonight.

;) it is what it is mate innit.

Sorry for the long winded reply above, it just does my nut when people have a pop at other clubs, we only took 900 to Norwich the other week which I think is ok but some people could rip it to shreads.

Fulham look like they’ve had their balls chopped off so far.

An absolute shell of the team that went 23 games unbeaten

My mate was at the Brum/Fulham game and said they looked nervy and were poor. Our Hull win burst their bubble.

True. But I was at the 3-1 away loss and they won because we made 3 uncharacteristic defensive errors.

Agree. Can’t remember Sessegnon and Mitrovic doing much, apart from a shot from distance that was easy for the goalkeeper.

Derby definitely the better team so far.

Agreed they seemed to need about four passes in the penalty area before taking a shot. They are a dreadful playoff team who have played 7 times in the playoffs and not won once. They have only scored 2 goals in those 7 games too.
