Swansea are facing a spell of upheaval with the future uncle

Postby Forever Blue » Thu May 17, 2018 2:57 pm

Swansea City are facing a spell of upheaval with the future unclear for several key names at the club.

That starts with manager Carlos Carvalhal, who appears to be hanging by a thread after overseeing the Swans' relegation to the Championship after a seven-year stay in the top flight.

Star players such as Alfie Mawson and Lukasz Fabianski are expected to depart this summer too, though they will probably be tempted away by Premier League clubs rather than axed.

Others, like Kyle Naughton, Oliver McBurnie and Wilfried Bony could leave too, already several first team players have already departed, as the Swans prepare themselves for a transition period.

None of us know how it will turn out for the Jacks.

They are starting from basically scratch again and at least you can see them staying in the Championship for a few seasons. The only good thing for them is they have the parachute payments to keep them there but is that enough. Just look at Sunderland. Adding to that they have these Yanks in charge and that is their big fear of it all.

I cant see the payments being reinvested.
The yanks will take their cut and move on ( hopefully )

I hope they disband completely the gypos.

But can they do that?

The purpose of parachute payments was so that relegated clubs could keep their players on once down. As most players move on once relegated I've always wondered where the payment go.

Carlos now confirmed gone. They've just installed a revolving door on the main entrance to the Statue Of Liberty Stadium to make things easier.

Can you explain it Paul? If you're the owner then surely you can do as you like?
