Grujic is attracting plenty of interest following his loan stint with the Bluebirds


Lazio have been linked with a £5m swoop for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic following his loan spell with Cardiff City.

The Serbia international became Jurgen Klopp's first signing at Anfield in January 2016 although he struggled for regular game time under the German boss.

He made six appearances in all competitions for the Reds' first team last term before being allowed to join the Bluebirds on loan in January.

The midfielder played a key role in helping Neil Warnock's men clinch promotion, featuring 14 times in all competitions as well as scoring his side's second goal in a 2-1 win over Barnsley at Cardiff City Stadium in March.



He has been included in the Serbia squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and came on as a substitute in his country's 5-1 friendly win over Bolivia on Saturday.

And having been linked with Fulham last week, Grujic has now been touted for a switch to Serie A side Lazio.

The Mirror claim the Italians are preparing a £5m bid for the Liverpool man, who still has two years left on his current contract at Anfield.

100% should be getting if he is going that cheap.

Not according to DEANO, he thinks we could do better than Grujic for £5m

Perfect at 5m he played the role we needed the second half of the season

If Liverpool want to keep him why not another loan spell with us.

Nah,this doesn't quite ring true,especially if he's got 2yrs left on his contract.Just a tester by Lazio if true.If he has a decent world cup can see him going for treble that-minimum if he goes at all.

Always thought he was an average player tbh. Decent player but I never rated him as highly as some people on here do. For me he went missing in far too many games, was rash in his challenges and lulled on the ball far too long whilst giving it away cheaply constantly. Not trying to take a dig at the player as he had a few good games but I thought Bryson had just as much of an impact as he did. Warnock stopped playing him by the end of the season.

He came to us not match fit. But seemed to grow every game. But he was hot headed like you said.
Warnock didnt want to risk being down to 10.

Once he got caught on the ball that I remember. But his passing ability was clearly there.
I think the prem would suit him better.

Agree also - £5m is a bargain price for a player so good at his age

Yes Warnock stopped playing him, and our results dipped, as did our performances. He did dwell on he ball but he will get that time this season, if £5m gets him go get him. We need a good squad we can mix it up with, we were dogged by injuries last season hence Grujic was brought in. He’d add quality.

He's a good player, but with Ryan Woods priced at £6m I'd much prefer him. Grujic got caught on the ball several times and this proved costly. Also, he tends to mistime too many tackles leading to needless bookings.
If we're going for permanent signings there are better around at a similar price.

After our recent signing , that nobody knew about .
I'm leaving every thing up to Neil Warnock, and I'm looking forward to more surprises.
It's nice to gossip about players that are available , and I would like Grujic also Woods , but I think Woods is a little on the small side for a Warnock team.

Whatever his other attributes are I have never seen a better player at wining headers in the midfield area. Never really worked out why he wasn't more of a threat from corners or set pieces though.

I thought he was a decent player once he got over his bumpy start although I'm not sure he convinced NW and that's why we will probably not buy him.

At 5m I'd say sign him up.

I don't go to as many games as most do on here due to work commitments. But from what I saw of Grujic was when he had the ball sometimes he'd try to be to clever and lose the ball. However I've also seen him win the ball and use the ball well.

Guys he's young. Under the right manager (No names mentioned) he could develop and be alot better than he was when he helped us get back to the promised land. I'd take him for 5mil.

I don't think Warnock likes him, didn't get near the team when Gunners was back and we had Bryson and Damour fit.

Warnock does think a lot of him...but everyone could see he is a hot head

The manager went with Gunner and Bryson instead of Grujic in the last few games purely because of experience, not ability and like most things he called it correctly

With a World Cup campaign behind him and a pre season with players and a system he already knows, he will be a very, very good player for us next year

On loan or bought I would definitely take him for next season
