Amazing pro, and always did a job when called on.

Shame we can't find a spot on the coaching team for him.

Thanks for doing your bit and never letting us down Greg!

Please can you let Bobby Reid out of your back pocket so he can perform for us next season?

For him to post this as a player who was on the fringe most of the time shows a true sign of a top pro.

Will always remember being there for his first and only goal.

Players like him are very undervalued by supporters, a real asset to anyone in the Championship.

All the best to him. :ayatollah:
I will.
And before anyone els gets in there no im not an ideot abroad

Was thinking the same. Would have liked him to have learnt the ropes under Warnock.

Greg Halford: Defender announces Cardiff City departure
BBC Sport

Cardiff City utility player Greg Halford has announced he will leave ahead of the Premier League season.

Halford, 33, was signed from Rotherham in 2017 and made 28 appearances for the Bluebirds.

He posted on social media that Friday's training session would be his last with the club and that "everything comes to an end eventually".

He said Cardiff City winning promotion last season was one of the "best highlights" of his football career.

"It has been a complete honour and a privilege to play for such a big club and put on that shirt for the past 18 months," he said.

A lot of class from a top pro. A thing that comes through to me loud and clear is how together our dressing room is!! Players don't leave with bad words example Greg, Tomlin etc.

Player's choose to stay even though they could leave for more money example Morrison and Bennett.

It does fill me with confidence that we will probably have the strongest most together dressing room next season. Obviously you need quality as well in the prem but every team who come up against us are going to have to match our work rate, togetherness, fight and team spirt. We have got to make the CCS like the reading game for every home game!! Back these boys for 90+ mins and let's see what happens!!

One of the biggest positives since Warnock’s arrival is the sense of team spirit and bonding. I love social media if only for the window into this groups lives. I saw an IG post showing all the lads watching the England game in the back garden together! We just have a squad of genuinely decent lads, no idiots or prima donnas to upset the balance. It proved to be our biggest weapon last year and already the new lads that have joined seem to be fitting in nicely! Congrats and thanks to Halford for all your efforts!

What a great message from a great pro. It shows the measure of the man that he can end his time with us on such a positive note.

I know Greg wasn't everybody's cup of tea but for me he did a superb job for us, he didn't have many opportunities but whenever called upon he didn't let us down.

Good luck in the future Greg and thanks for helping us in our journey. :ayatollah:

Just shows us fans don’t always know what is going on “behind the scenes” when people question signings. It is becoming apparent that Warnock has built a squad full of players with the correct attitude, professionalism and work ethic.

Thank you Greg ...good luck ! :bluescarf:

After he scored THAT goal - albeit in training - my mates and I have chanted “Greg Halfords a football genius” ever since. No one ever joined in, but we thought he was worthy of a chant. Good versatile squad player with an amazing attitude towards his chosen profession.

All the best Greg! :bluebird:

Agreed

Its a credit to the management and spirit in the camp when fringe players like Halford, Connelly and Pilkington have so much affection for the club and are ultra professional.

True character is revealed when players leave clubs and not when they join them... Greg is showing great character.

Good luck Greg!

Wish him well, hardly featured but did a job when called upon usually starting after months of no game time, shows his character and fitness.
