He never really had much pace about him but in saying that he is 34 next month

His legs were already gone at the end while he was still with us... he signed a new contract for 1 season as a squad payer.

I look on the Blackburn forum fairly regularly and the concensus seems to be that he was a poor buy. He's dropped well down the pecking order and they appear to have a few younger players playing quite well so his way back is limited. The general opinion seems to be that he will leave either on loan or permanent.

He was already finished as any sort of good level player before he left. Doesn’t have the legs to play in the champ anymore if he wanted to be first choice would probably have to drop down to league two but he is happy to be a bit part player for Blackburn for a couple of years before retirement. When he does retire hope the club organise a testimonial for him as he deserves it given the amount of games and goals for us.

Saw him a few weeks ago against Hibs pre-season.

Strolled about a bit made a few good passes. hard to judge in a pre-season game as no urgency about it at all.
