We've had a few lumps up front over the years, but who is your favourite 'target man' that has played for Cardiff?
Jon Parkin springs to mind...

Peter Thorne for sure, followed by Leo

hieder helguson. Don't know if you class him as a target man but for the promotion season he put his head to everything. Did well considering I thought he was a underwhelming signing at the time.

I thought Bothroyd was superb when on his game. He and Thorne for me.

Yep those two for me. Although Adrian Alston in the 70s wasn't too shabby for the 18 months odd he was with us
Mind you, if Robin Friday didn't have so many "demons" he would have been top of most lists

Agree. He always put a shift in with no fuss whatsoever. Played a massive part in our promotion. Bothroyd on song was also an extremely good player

Bothroyd for me,came with not much optimism but at the end seemed to have it all (brilliant, drama, skillful,on his arse, great goals, not interested, unplayable,a cap)
Never a dull moment.

Peter Thorne - such exciting times when we signed him and Kav.
He mad Earnie a far better player and nobody since has been able to wear the magic hat with so much style.

Kevin Nugent, great foil for Carl Dale and Peter Thorne for Earnie...
Also an honourable mentions for big Rob Turner and Garry Thompson

Helgusson was great the season we went up, won everything in the air.

Forgotten all about Cameron to be honest.

He even put his head into the goal posts trying to put the ball in the net on a few occasions if I remember? Physios always on the pitch to patch him up haha

Yeah one of the goals he scored I believe against Hull. He smack his head against the post.
