Still can't believe we lost one of our own last night. A genuine football fan who followed the City and Wales home and away. RIP Mikey Dye - My thoughts are with your family.

The sad events of last night resulting in the death of this gentleman puts high players wages, transfer deadlines, failing to gain promotion and seeing Wales at the bottom of the table into perspective. At times like this remember football is only a game, this gentleman has paid the ultimate price. I hope his family gain strength from the genuine respectful comments on here and social networking sites.

R.I.P Mikey, never had the honour of meeting him, thoughts go out to the family and friends.

It puts everything into perspective, all over a poxy 90 minute game of football, a lot more important things happening in this world

A Wrexham fan here but I had to register and post my condolonces having returned from Wembley.

I didn't ever meet Mikey but having travelled away with Wales for years I recognise his face and also know a few of his mates.

I felt sick to the pit of my stomach when I heard the news and realised it was true and not an internet rumour and as I posted elsewhere today, I just can't get my head round the fact that a man in his 40s (like me) with young family (like me) went to watch Wales (like me) but whilst I came home he'll never return. It's not right and my heartfelt sympathies go out to his family and friends.

RIP Mike Dye. Cwsg mewn hedd.

I never knew Mike personally but I expect in an away game or two we probably stood near to each other supporting our team. However these events have left me stunned. You go to a football match and never come home. What a shocking idictment on 21stC Britain.

To Mike's widow and three children I offer you my sincerest sympathy at your loss. You are in my prayers at this time. To dear Mike RIP.

God bless you all,
Steve.
