Birmingham away 90's

Anyone else go that game when it all kicked off mental. I remember our lads burning a Union Jack in the corner which sparked mayhem, the Brum fans above us starting throwing seats down and all sorts of objects, people spilling on the pitch, I remember going on so I could dodge the missiles and seats coming down at us. I think we scored a wonder goal from near the half way line !!!!! A week later Millwall went up and stabbed a police horse amongst others which also made national headlines. How things have changed !!! but what a mental away trip !!!! :ayatollah:
I have seen City in the old Fourth Division,Lift the Welsh cup and FAW Premier trophy,Play in the European Cup Winners Cup,FA cup final and Carling cup final. now lets get to the promised land/o\ /o\ ALWAYS BLUE

I was telling someone that story today, the seat back you threw hit that lad straight in the face like a massive frizbee and they had to carry him out, the tw*t had it coming and he'd chucked loads of stuff down at ours, what a f*cking shot.

Not actually on the coach but I'm first in line if someone calls Carlos and drops out due to drink problems! :D
Only found out I could go today as the Mrs has had the flu. :(
Still, she is well enough for me to go if someone can't make it. ;) :ayatollah:

Horrible b*stard he was Gwyn. He was throwing things down all game and spitting on people i'll never forget him leaning over grinning just as my seat hit him smack in the face. :D
Best bit was an old fella and his wife coming up to me by the food kiosk and shaking my hand because that guy had spat over them minutes earlier :ayatollah:

I was at this game only a young teenager. Lost 2-1 was it? Remember the flag getting burned. Maybe 2000 of us?

I believe it was 1994. I was there with my Gransha who got me into watching Cardiff City and sadly passed away in 1996. I remember the Paul Millar wonder goal putting us 1 up, losing 2-1, lots of fighting outside the stadium after the game and seasts raining down on us during it.

I didn’t realise a Union Jack flag had been burnt by our fans until tonight and although I find that disrespectful, it’s hard to condone throwing seats. Both spineless acts in their own rights I suppose.

Some Cardiff “fans” had run across the pitch and were trying to get into the Birmingham end by scaling the fences. However, because they were holding onto the fence, the Brummies were just punching them off it. It didn’t seem to deter them though, as they were just getting back up and trying again before being greeted with another fist.

Outside after was fairly brutal. We always referred to the flag burner as ‘One Man Army’.
That set the tone for the rest of the day.
