Wouldn’t pay any attention to early manager betting at all
A few hundred quid will move that market massively on a single name

I agree. Even less than that I’d say.

£10 here and there can significantly change the market.
I'll carry on updating this topic, but can't read too much into it until someone goes to around 1/5.
We know Morison will be given the next three games at least, so I wouldn't expect any significant developments until next Wednesday at the absolute earliest.

Just looking at the odds Morison must be the best bet at 10-1. I think four points in our next two games gets him the job till Christmas. The problem is Flynn is such short odds you assume someone who is in the know is betting on him as the vast majority of fans don't seem to want him

4/11 aren't that short odds really. If it was 1/5 or shorter it would be a much bigger indicator.
At 4/11, it's more than likely just a couple of decent sized bets. In reality, a few bets of £10+ can dramatically change the odds. I could put £50 on Morison now and he'd go odds on.
Will keep updating this topic but I'm not reading much into it yet.
Nothing is even close to being done yet. I know for a fact that the club haven't even begun interviews as of this morning.

Give Steve Morrison until the end if the season.
I can't see many better options, they're all a risk anyway. Morrison knows the squad and is clearly trying to play football.
Fri Nov 05, 2021 7:10 am
Is it just me or is anyone else surprised that Alex Neil isn't higher up in the betting list?
I'm not saying that he'd necessarily be my choice over other names that have been mentioned, but is there anyone else out there at 40 years old that has the managerial experience of Alex Neil?
He already knows how to get promotion out of the championship as he did it with Norwich and he also had a solid 4 and half years working at Preston on a restricted budget.
If we do intend to go down the Flynn route then why not go for Neil instead as he's done that at a higher level. And if the club wants to go for someone with experience and someone who is experienced at being successful championship level with Walesonline suggesting Chris Hughton could be under consideration then surely Alex Neil would be a better candidate than Hughton too.
Personally I'm rooting for Steve Morrison to do well, and I can't say whether Jody Morris or Michael Beale would be better than Alex Neil (they might be) but we don't have much to judge them on.
But if we are looking at Flynn and Hughton then Alex Neil's name should be also be high on the shortlist with them.

In regards to Craig Bellamy..
I can't see it happening.
He wouldn't work for Tan and he has recent issues with his personal life right now that are more important than football.
He's into second favourite in the betting, but I think that may be a reaction to people betting on him off the back of the WalesOnline article.

If anything the above post indicates that the bookies have not got a clue and that City are keeping it close to their chest.
Also am I the only one getting the impression it isn’t going to be Morison based on what was said at the beginning and what he himself has said today ?

Ned, I totally agree on all fronts
I put the Abbandonato article out last night because it was 'in the public domain' and therefor of interest; but added a comment that I personally didn't believe it would happen, no matter how much I (personally) would like to see it occur
For me, and seemingly others, Craig is not ready or willing to take the job on right now
My personal choice from others mentioned is to give Steve Morrison a run of games to the January window and my least choices are for either of Hughton (on a par with Mick McCarthy) and Flynn (reliably told it's not going to happen)
Beyond that, no one really knows and, as usual, the inner sanctum of the club are doing an impressive job (assuming they know what's going on?
) job of keeping it tight...
An interesting week or two ahead...
