It's just the tactics employed that concerns me? Yes played well against Turkey at times but they lost all their games..... but to qualify is great so cannot complain at that really...

Wales will play Finland, Russia or Denmark in the Last 16 - whoever finishes as runner up in Group B.

There is a small chance that Belgium will finish in second but it seems unlikely.


The final group games in Group B take place on Monday at 8pm.

Russia currently hold second place. They will take second place if they at least draw with Denmark and Finland don't beat Belgium.

Finland will finish in second if they better Russia's result - if they lose and Denmark win, Finland will need them to not overturn a two-goal deficit in goal difference.

Denmark will finish in second if they beat Russia and Belgium beat Finland - they should get the swing in goal difference if that happens

Most of the commentary is piss poor.. if you think Hartson is bad , there’s a girl co-commenting on the Swiss/Turkey game who could be mistaken for the Artful Dodger.. what the Dickens is going on..

yes he beat cancer and i think everyone was willing him on to do so at the time... but co commentator really isnt his forte and my recollection of him speaking in interviews pre illness was similar to his performance last night...
maybe one of the 3 in the studio , 10 mins of straight forward stuff he has had time to think about ?
will add i agree with Rumpo in that the woman watching /screaming in the Turkey game was a few rungs further down the ladder again though...

I agree. Earnie speaks a lot of sense and highlights stuff a normal fan might not have seen. He'd be a better choice for co-commentator. Although that accent!!

Group C comes to a close today at 5pm.

Holland play North Macedonia in Amsterdam.

Austria play Ukraine in Bucharest.



Holland have already won the group.

North Macedonia can't qualify, and are guaranteed to finish bottom of the group.


Ukraine will finish in second place if they avoid defeat, if they lose then Austria will finish in second.

A point would almost certainly be enough for Austria to progress as one of the best third placed teams.


Would not be a huge surprise if the game between Austria and Ukraine is incredibly boring and finishes 0-0, that result would suit both of them.



Whoever finishes second will play Italy at Wembley in the last 16.

Denmark will finish second if they win and Belgium win. Their goal difference is currently in deficit by two from Finland, so just a win will probably be enough if Belgium win.


A point would probably be enough for both Finland and Russia as that would take them to four points.


Wales will play whoever finishes second in the Last 16 next Saturday at 5pm in Amsterdam.

The group winner will play a third placed team in Seville next Sunday.
