Mon Nov 11, 2019 5:25 pm
Tony Pulis would be a total disaster. No point in Warnock going if we just get him in

Yeah, changed them to what they are now. Expect they'll change a lot over the next few hours.
To be fair, they know about as much as we do.

Forgot about Padrew, bit of passion on the touch line,
Where's Curbishley these days?
Mon Nov 11, 2019 5:52 pm
Some really awful names on there, come back Neil all is forgiven.
Mon Nov 11, 2019 5:57 pm
I quite like Nathan Jones. Wouldnt be too upset with him
Mon Nov 11, 2019 5:57 pm
Have they reached those odds by counting how many times each name has been mentioned across all the message boards?
Mon Nov 11, 2019 5:58 pm
Neil from Preston and Johnson from Bristol City only ones I like.
I think the Club would already have a list of who they want!
Mon Nov 11, 2019 5:59 pm
Blimey the usual suspects reappear....I wouldn’t mind Houghton. or Flynn but I wouldn’t be surprised if city went for Mark Hughes ...

Its going to be a rocky road if that list is anything to go by. I can't see Alex Neill coming with Preston top two and Nathan Jones is now tainted as possibly not up to this level after his Stoke experience. Bellamy is unproven and imo would need someone as a director of football above him and Jokanovic would probably want lots of money to spend in January.
After that its the usual dinosaurs that get trotted out for every vacancy plus Harris who wasn't good enough for Millwall. I agree it is the right time for NW to go, but where do we find an up and coming young [ish] manager who can change the whole playing philosophy at the club. Perhaps we should look overseas or should we take a punt on someone like Karl Robinson who has consistently done well in the lower leagues and whose teams play good football but has never had a chance at a higher level. The Hibs manager was highly rated at Barnsley but has just been sacked by after a very poor run.
Its a difficult one as we have to get this right as we will need to stabilize following Warnock's departure. Whoever we choose, I hope we don't rush things.

I think he is one of few who could put us in the right direction.
Neil could be a option from Preston and I think he would come but is it enough of a change, could be an option.

He didn't do it at Stoke. So can imagine he won't be in the running but I dunno I think I'd back him here

Would love Alex Neil here, don't see it happening mind and I do like Nathan Jones and the job he did at Luton was incredible and his team played great football but the Stoke job has tainted him a little.

Yeah but then I think Stoke have bigger problems. I agree tho it's not without a risk.

Nigel Adkins not on the list either

Two of the most successful managers in British football history (Brian Clough & Alex Ferguson) were both very successful at more than one club. The list of potential managers of the OP have so many that have been failures at other clubs. This is not what we need at CCFC if we are ever to achieve our full potential.
Remember that Vincent Tan is a very successful businessman who got his fingers burnt with Malky. Hopefully Neil has restored his faith enough for him to back any newbie with the cash needed for us to make a push again for a quick return to the premiership. If the new manager can get us playing better football (not hoof it & hope) then Tan might just become even more comfortable in opening his cheque book.

Surprised to see Neil Harris is favourite. He has always struck me as one of those one club players. He has spent almost his entire career at Millwall both as a player and a manager. He did an ok job as Millwall manager bu nothing that special. I would be very disappointed if we went for him. Also Millwall are the only other club in division to pay hoofball. Maybe we are going to go the full hoofball and appoint Pulis and Harris as joint managers.
