Var is working so well here compared to the premier league officials? If that was them deciding still be looking at it...... seen only one bad decision by var here for handball but thats all.

So much better in this tournament, not interfering too much either.

Hopefully the Premier League and Mike Riley are watching.

Probably saying var in taunement is not being used properly? :laughing6: but it appears var and refs are cooperating with each other total opposite to how it looks in premier league...1-1 now

Penalty given by VAR after Moder stood on Moreno's foot.

Moreno takes the penalty and hits the post. Morata then put the rebound wide.

Justice done? Never understand why give penalty when player clearly plays the ball into box defender makes contact with him after hes played it but var/ref give penalty ! Isnt it the same as the follow through tackle recently highlighted concerning red card/fouls?

Looked a bit harsh but the European referees always seem to give them.

Justice really that he missed it.

Yes definitely justice but az you know its my main complaint with var it encourages players to make most of contact in area? And var just helps things by showing slow motion contact... not all contact are fouls but to var it seems it is!

Spain and Poland draw 1-1.

Keeps alive Poland's hopes of qualifying - they'll need to beat Sweden in their final game.

Spain just have two points from their two games and will need to beat Slovakia in their final game to qualify.

Spain don't look like anything special.

That concludes the second round of group games.

In the third round of group games, both games in each group will take place simultaneously.

This starts on Sunday at 5pm as we face Italy in Rome and Switzerland play Turkey in Baku.

Italy are already through and will win the group if they avoid defeat.

We are probably already through. We will win the group if we win. We will finish second if we draw or lose and Switzerland win but there isn't a five goal swing in goal difference - if there is, then we will finish third.

Switzerland will probably qualify with a win but will need us to lose and that five-goal swing to happen for them to finish 2nd.

Turkey are unlikely to qualify even if they beat Switzerland.

Is it too much to dream of a sneaky 1-0 win Wales to be talk of the tournament :occasion5:

Not long now until kick off.

Rob Page and Roberto Mancini are both expected to rotate their squad.

Wales have Kieffer Moore, Chris Mepham and Ben Davies all one yellow card away from a suspension so they may be left out.

Italy are expected to rest Ciro Immobile while Giorgio Chiellini is out injured, although he is expected to return for the Italians' Last 16 match.

Must be protecting Moore with his Yellow card.

I think we need to be careful here as going by past Italy results a 5 goal swing isn't isn't that big of a leap.

Looks like it, right decision in my opinion.

Same with Mepham and Davies.

Don't want to lose those three for the next round.

Exactly that. And Ben Davies and Mepham. Davies has been great first 2 games too. We'll need them 3 next round.

Got a feeling we're gonna score. But won't be enough to win.

Italy dominating as expected so far, with a couple of shots that have been straight at Ward.

Switzerland now 2-0 up.

Xherdan Shaquiri scores.

Big mistake by ward why was he going left when ball was going nowhere that direction? Out Far to wide to prevent goal

HALF TIME:

Italy 1-0 Wales

Switzerland 2-0 Turkey

Right now we are level on points with Switzerland and we have two-goal better goal difference.

Could be a long 45 minutes.

He's been brilliant the first two games but struggling today, especially with his distribution.

Morrell is having a very poor game as well, looks like the Italian midfield are too clever for him.
