Odd that one, as is Chris Wilder being so far in front...

But we've been here before and I am sceptical of this list's accuracy at this time in proceedings

Agreed, its the bookies being aware that wilder was at the game the other night, plus early money coming in on him and not the others yet, this is not based on anything from the club yet.

However imo Wilder would be a great choice.

Who’s your favourite Sven, you said in another thread you didn’t think it would happen ?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone not even on that list.

No manager will want to join a club that is struggling financially. So it will have to be League 1 or a manager with no experience. You can rule out everyone on that list apart from potentially Mike Flynn. It will take 2 or 3 seasons to bring anyone new in the club with a bit of quality to them and by then we will already be a league 1 club.

I really hope Steve Morison takes his chance. His U23s play a good style of football, he’s young and up and coming, and he knows the championship well as most of his playing career was spent there. Obviously he’s untried and that’s not ideal with a relegation battle looming, but is there a better alternative out there given how tight we are financially?

Try getting Pack Bacuna Ralls and Vaulks to play like his U23 team.

Too be honest, I don't currently have a 'favourite' I believe the club would employ; and they have too much contradictory form to make predictions

My personal 'favourite' wouldn't take the job under the current owner and I believe money is going to be a huge factor on selection

Could be Wilder, if the club have realised a change of policy is required, but I just don't see it (based purely on past experience)

Guesstimate? Steve Morison (with one 'R') for a game or two whilst discussions go on between (so called) Committee and potentials

Why don't the club just go and get Bellamy in, he would sort your season out before it's to late.

Jody Morris?

Get him to turn up at the club to sign a contract and then tell him to f**k off.

Where do they come up with some of them - honestly.

Thierry Henry?  Tan wouldn't have a clue who he is.

Eddie Howe?

John Terry FFS

Do they just put out as many names as they can think of?

So many uninspiring names on that list.

Personally I think we need fresh ideas and not the likes of Pulis, Holloway and Pardew who are mentioned in the bookies list above.

My fear is that Tan will go with someone with an established name in football, even if they might not be what we need.

From that list I don’t see him going for the likes of Jody Morris or Eddie Newton as they aren’t established names.

I thought Eddie Newton spoke well on the bit of swazz this week

I think Morison is well worth a try.

Wilder, Mark Hudson or Bellamy would be great but I can’t see any of them being realistic for various reasons (Hudson a possible exception).

If we’re serious about developing some continuity then Morison deserves a go. He certainly can’t do any more than he has been with the U23s but it is a big jump.

Jody Morris odds have been slashed down to 4/1. Young and has strong links to Chelsea who have numerous young players who we could look to loan. But lacks any sort of experience, but do we go with experience again as apart from Warnock it hasn’t really worked. I’m just delighted that McCarthy has gone. I’m not expecting much from the new manager to begin with I just want us to be safe from relegation, and then have a season or two to build a promotion chasing side and hopefully with a more exciting footballing philosophy.
