A bit of movement in the betting market this morning as Flynn regains his status as favourite with the bookies.
Not a lot in it, mind...
Michael Flynn 5/4
Steve Morison 7/4
Neil Warnock 7/2

Some bets on warnock then, in from 22/1 to 7/2.personally I hope we dont go down that route, never go back to a lit firework I believe.

I am a big Warnock fan, but I don’t want him back this season.

I'd only have him back if we found ourselves in dire trouble in March/April. I think we are good enough to avoid that situation anyway.

I agree, I believe we will stay up with Morison in charge anyway and then clear out properly in July

Agreed, no doubt Warnock would keep us up and get results but it would be another wasted 7 months.
We need new ideas and a new direction, we need to be brave and give any new, young guy a bit of leeway to change our style and the culture on the playing side.

Why would he leave a Wales team on tbe verge of World Cup qualification, though?

Perhaps been told he won't get the job when and if Giggs is found guilty?

Crossed my mind, Ned; but I still see him not abandoning the job at this stage. He is a proud Welshman and his reputatiin would be further enhanced by any Wales success

Next week will be his 2 final games as Wales caretaker manager. It will then be decided before the next international break if Giggs will continue, if they will stick with Page or choose to go into a different direction.
My guess is that this will be Page's last 2 games as Wales manager whatever happens.
Robert Page was on Tan's shortlist 5 years ago to replace Russell Slade.
Page has also worked with several Cardiff players in the Wales set up and has a good relationship with them.
Also nothing currently seems to be imminent at the moment which implies that cardiff might be waiting for something (the Wales matches to be concluded)
This could also explain why there has been so little information about manager updates this time around as they are not wanting to disrupt Wales's big game preparation this week.
