Was David Wagner a flash in the pan ?

I wouldn't be disappointed with Wagner. He has a similar philosophy that Morison was trying to implement with the high press game, although slightly more direct.
Others I'd like are Mckenna, Schumacher, and Jones.

My money is on Hudson as it’s the easy option for the board.

Yes but he might well be returning to Huddersfield soon. Their supporters have happy memories of him and seem to forget how badly it ended and his subsequent failures elsewhere.

Hudson the easiest option for the club and would not want money for transfers.
Wagner was amazing for Huddersfield wouldn't mind if he ended up our manager.
Right every manager off that list except Warnock and Solskaer because they work with a next to nothing budget on transfers.

Solskjaer?
Really?
Anybody fancy £100 on that long shot?
Sun Sep 18, 2022 2:02 pm
I can see a short term Warnock spell if we haven't got anyone lined up.

I thought the same as you; but then added ManUre supporter Mehmet to the mix, and....
I think Hudson but (a year later) would go for Nathan Jones and his passion on our apparent budget...
Brendan also looking for a job soon and the look on our '
friends' down the road faces would be priceless...

Dalman would have to be a brave man having persuaded Tan to employ Ole once to try to do so again, especially as it cost Tan a fair few bob when he had to get shot of Ole last time.
Sun Sep 18, 2022 2:13 pm
Warnock to end of the season, I reckon.
Sun Sep 18, 2022 2:15 pm
Although it seems it would never happen whilst Tan remains I'm amazed to not see Bellamy's name on that list.
Not like the bookies to miss posting odds on anybody with links to the City in order to make a few bob.
No doubt Bale as player manager will soon appear on some bookies odds list.

Wow….how inspiring as you know it can’t be the top two. Would SD come and work for the loon? Malkys old mucker I very much doubt it. I’m astounded sometimes we actually have any fans left

For gods sake surely not, we’ve just bought 15 players who want to play football haven’t we? A decent midfield too, just no strikers…..

I reckon Warburton would get a tune out of this lot and was part of the Brentford system that Tan wants to emulate

He left Brentford due to that system, he clashed with their owners over their transfer policies.

See your thinking but why replace a cheap option (that requires a small amount of compo) with another cheap option. I’m eternally optimistic but I have a feeling that Morison was a stop gap until the right one became available….and now he is.

Agree

Even the official CCFC channel into WOL are saying Hudson will be given a chance and he'll be more tactically aggressive....
Noooooooooooooooooo
Sun Sep 18, 2022 4:53 pm
Warnock till the end of the season he will be back
Sun Sep 18, 2022 5:27 pm
Why not raid Tottenham for either Ryan Mason, Yaya Toure, or Simon Davies, all young coaches with Tottenham and seemingly doing well with youth which is what we have inherited from Morison, or even Matthias Jaissie with RB Saltzboug he might be a bit over our budget but at least they are young are doing a good job at their present clubs.
I am a bit fed up up of the usual suspects being suggested for the job time for a change I believe
Sun Sep 18, 2022 5:32 pm
Maybe it's gonna be sol bamba
without a club. Looks like not going to play anywhere this season
Sun Sep 18, 2022 5:34 pm
Odds been updated from 6.30pm tonight.
Mark Hudson the VERY early favourite, followed by Nathan Jones and Sol Bamba.
Sun Sep 18, 2022 5:46 pm
It's got to be Dyche or Hughton if we actually want to progress
Sun Sep 18, 2022 5:54 pm
Don't get the Hudson option.
Why would they go with someone integral to the previous failed (in their eyes) incumbent?

Not massively surprised to see bamba on there tbh. Think it would be too much as a first job, needs to cut his teeth with youth first. But he'd certainly bring passion. Loved him as a player and person.
Sun Sep 18, 2022 6:08 pm
It will not be hudson as our permenant manager it will be an experienced manager, and we are prepared to pay compo if we have to.
Forgetting the odds my money would be on Jones or Dyche
