The Championship - Top Goalscorer

Fri Aug 24, 2012 11:14 pm

A market i like to get involved in over the past few years, and these are my selections to date for this season -

My main bet this season is Jordan Rhodes 16-1 to win it and 4-1 to be in the first 4 ( each way ).
As most will know i am a big fan of Rhodes, and if he stays at Huddersfield for the season - IMO this is a good bet.
Rhodes was also EVS to score 15 goals or more this season, before the season started.

Both at 33-1 i have done my favourite ex Cardiff player Chops, and a player who i think will do well in this league Simon Cox.
I am going to add another 2-3 players by the end of the first transfer window, when we will know which players are still in this league.

Has anyone else had a bet on "The Championship Top Goalscorer" :?:

As posted above i have added 3 players to my list, all were done a few days later...

Becchio @ 30-1 Mackail-Smith @ 40-1 and an outsider Craig Davies @ 165-1 .

I have now used up my £100.00 bank, but i have to add 2 more players who were not in this league at the time, but are great value ...Both 33-1 Our new boy Nicky Maynard and Billy Sharp of Nottm Forest.

@16/1 Rhodes is a quality bet now he has moved.

I usually make a bet on the top scorer market but no one has enticed me this year tbh.
It's amazing how quickly the odds change after a goal, so I may look at some outside bets.

Sordell @ 25/1 - still think he will get a gd amount of goals once Bolton get going.

D. Blackstock, back from injury and 40/1 if he hits form?
Problem cox and sharpe Ahead of him for now.

chopra is a good bet for me.

i dont think becchio has been a consistent goalscorer (although a very consistant performer) over the last few years.

jordan rhodes has to be a good bet, blackburn will create a lot of chances. Also, being a cardiff fan, might have a little flutter on whitts or maynard :ayatollah:

Gutted that Maynard is going to out for most of the season, but happy with my first 6 picks ( apart from Chops !!! )
Craig Davies 4 goals today, make that 165-1 look even better at the mo....but a long way to go !!!

It's looking more like a battle of the each ways now. I'd be keen to know the odds for Jordan Rhodes e/w to finish top four now? Or even top two?

I've gone massively large on Ulloa @ 20-1 @ skybet. £250!

10 goals since January when he signed and not one peanalty and first season in England.

If he's allowed to take penaltys which he wasn't allowed under Gus as Spanish Dave took em then its a home banker :malky:
