Trevor Birch has revealed an announcement on the future of Swansea City's academy will be made after the January transfer window.
Reports in the national media recently claimed that the club were considering selling their Landore facility as they continue to cut costs following last year's relegation from the Premier League.
Mad Swansea have sold their academy ground and have dropped from a category 1 to a 3 at the end of season
Jacks parachute drops from circa £33m this season to circa £15m next season.
The
Jacks have pulled out of Merthyr and are pulling out of Cardiff and near surrounding areas.

F*ck them !!!
Remember the collection buckets when they were going into administration, should have left them to rot.

Might put us in a better position to attract the local welsh talent.
I keep hearing of loads of Cardiff and Valleys youngsters going to the Swansea Academy. The money invested in our academy could now be money well spent.

Has the sale of the Swansea academy been confirmed?
I saw something in the press before Xams that they were thinking of selling.

Oh well, too bad

Definately - my lad plays for a local Cardiff team. Ironically Swansea seem more active than us in recruiting and identifying youngesters in Cardiff

Well according to our chairman we'll be on the verge of bankruptcy ourselves if we have to pay the fee for poor Sala.

The yanks will not put any more money in , they are in the shite big time , will be karma for the years of them saying how poorly we are run and how great they are

As much as I 'dislike' them it's sad news for Welsh Football and the National Team, a lot of decent talent has come through their ranks.
Fully appreciate I will be in a small minority mind haba

All or bust for them this season regarding promotion? I think I read on fb (so not sure how accurate it is) that they have several senior players contracts ending and quite a few players going back from loan at the end of the season. Big rebuild for them whether they get promoted or not. Will be difficult if they do not get promoted with little money available.

Has it happened?
Nothing on planet swans about it abd youd think they'd be up in arms planning one of their protests that never actually happen.
In fact we are one of the top topics over there.

They don't bother me that much mate, as much as I would always like us to finish above them.
Iv always hated Bristol City and detest Newport County.

There's many Cardiff kids with Cardiff supporting family gone there. Their Academy so much better than ours in most things they do. Still hope ours improves significantly though. It is madness we produced real talent when we had no academy and next to nil now we have!
Wed Jan 22, 2020 4:58 pm
I dont believe anything about the Jacks , unless roathie explains everything in great detail 15 times .
Having said that , it must be true.
Because there's no sign of #welshcasual !

With the undoubted talent and sell ons from many players from the academy , they really must be deep in the shite with their Profit and Loss account.
Extremely shortsighted but if its that or a breach of FFP , there really is no options for them.
Could not happen to a better club.

Excellent news and let's hope this is the start of the demise of our 6 fingered inbred gyppo friends from down West.
Hope nobody put a penny in the collection buckets this time

Lets hope our club has the foresight to make the most of this situation and act on it.
