Never been to this ground I have attempted but on both occasions accidents on the way up ( no us involved ) meant we missed both games. Mid week games were always out for me and we did seem to may Luton a lot during mid week as well if memory serves me well

Yes over the years for some reason, we’ve played many midweek games their.

I went there on a football special many, many years ago. The game was postponed. (About 100 of us went to see Spurs v Everton instead but that's another story!!) I have never back since but have always meant to so I will be going to this one as it may be the last chance.

I was at the game that was called off ,just as we arrived on the football special must have been early 1970s.
Walked to ground stopped in supporters club for beers.Went to catch football special back it had left hours before.Had to get train to London then another home
A long day not to see a game
Hard to believe its over 50 years ago.

Yes I think it was the season we finished 3rd and missed out on promotion. Brian Clarke, Toshack/Warboys up front. Glad someone on this forum remembers. As I mentioned in my earlier post a load of us went to Spurs where the older lads joined up with the surprisingly few Everton supporters behind the goal. Those were the days of non segregation and it turned into an interesting afternoon of good natured banter with those friendly Cockneys who resented the presence of a gang from Cardiff!! All featured on the Big Match the following day. Got the train home from London using our football special ticket.

Anyone remember the Bolton Wanderers away game that was postponed (mid-70's ?), due to fog ?
Think it was Boxing Day ?
Changed at Manchester, crossing the city from Piccadilly to Victoria Station.
Had a run-in with older Manchester City fans (was in early teens), who tried to nick our scarfs.
A long, long way to go for a postponed match...
