Kion Etete made his return today as he played in the U21s game against Bristol City, scoring the first goal of the game.

Etete showed some nice touches and got his goal, he worked hard - even managed to talk his way into a yellow card.

Clearly lacking match fitness and only played 45 minutes because it will be a gradual return to match fitness for him.

Agree with that, although I think we shouldn't be too harsh on him as it's only his first 45 minutes back after a long injury lay off.

Because we play more now with the ball on the floor, it could suit him better. Never been good at battling with defenders to win a header from a long ball.

I think our new style of play will suit Etete and bring the best out of him. He'll certainly be a better option than Kanga and Meite.

I'm excited to see how he can perform in a set up that creates more chances for him.

He won’t replace Robbo, and I actually don’t think he’s very good.

He’s been shite up until now for us.

He will more than likely be playing for the u21 team in the cup tomorrow night against Everton, but we should have Meite and Kanga there instead and keep Etete and Reindorf on the bench on Saturday day I believe we are allowed three overage players in the squad, so it will give them some game time and dare I say it improves our chances of getting a result on Saturday
