McLean has gone too far in the past but have no issues with this, even though I disagree with his point of view.

If anything, fair play to him for sticking to his stance despite all the hate he knew he'd get.

As a Veteran I really do not give a toss what Mclean does, entirely his call, same way as I do not give a toss if Bobby Sands is viewed as a hero or not in some quarters. Mclean has his views just as I have mine, at the end of the day I will observe Remembrance whatever Mclean does.

On another note, his hero is McGuinnes who swallowed his own pride and shook hands with HRH and showed he could move on in this instance, maybe Mclean should try too for the benefit of his kids future.
