Poor usecof subs. We were being overrun in middle.
He should have got Rinomhota and Siopis on to close down the midfield.
Tge lack of a, recognised striker is killing us

To be fair, a lot of the people who are criticising today have also previously said they wouldn't give him the job permanently.

My own view is that I didn't declare him as the king when we beat Plymouth and Portsmouth, I'm also not going to write him off after the last two poor performances.

That’s a fair point but Ian is correct when he says ‘some supporters’ have two opinions based either side of a result… :ayatollah:

That is quite toxic and quite annoying.

People are allowed to call them out on that I think.

Mistakes an experienced manager wouldn't make

Yep. I think it’s time to pause the El Ghazi experiment and restore Odowda to left wing and Bagan to left Back. Bagan does offer a bit more than Odowda defensively. And Odowda offers a lot more offensively than El Ghazi atm.

I agree with this

The OP has a very good point. There are lots of Cardiff fans who can't wait for us to lose so they can criticise the players, manager and the regime (although I agree they are the main issue).

Yes we have lost 2 games on the bounce but that's the championship, anyone can beat anyone. Riza is still a novice and learning his trade each week. His biggest issue is the squad, there's not much option on the bench, hence why we saw no subs in the second half.

Until players come back from injury and we buy a proven championship striker, it won't matter who the manager is.

It is what it is! Get behind the team and support them, not criticise them.

This leauge is like a game of snakes and ladders from beginning to the end and this time we have had a bad start we have scrapped a few points together under new guy but I’m still not sure about what’s to come from now till end of season we are a mid table team not good enough to go up too good go down .

I remember round here one season when Wolves fans were constantly telling me they were too good to go down. Birmingham fans said similar to me last season.

In both scenarios, they went down.

Nobody is "too good to go down" in this league - the league is so balanced in terms of the quality of teams.

Man you are a right bellend ain’t you?

I’m not a football expert at all I’ve just watched both teams play quite a bit. Not sure what the point is that you are making but there are three teams worse than Cardiff I think that I have seen (Preston, Portsmouth and Plymouth) but Oxford aren’t one of them. However, it’s too close for comfort and these teams could strengthen.

But as you mentioned oxford. Despite your (and others arrogance) they have a better team than Cardiff, a better squad and a vastly better manager. They also have owners who will spend money in January.

I’ve not seen QPR or Sheffield Wednesday yet but suspect both of them are too.

I think it's impossible to predict who will finish where when it comes to 16th and below. That's the area at the moment that I think both us and Oxford will be at the end of the season.

So I wouldn't say with certainty that they'd finish above us or vice versa. The optimist in me would say we'd finish higher but that's more hope than expectation.

You have a whole host of other teams who will be down there as well - Wednesday, Plymouth, Portsmouth, QPR, Millwall (think they'll drop like a stone soon), Luton etc.

It's a mug's game to genuinely predict who in that group will finish above who.

Hull also down there at the moment but their manager will surely go soon and they will move away from the bottom.

Coventry also will pick up if they get their manager appointment right.

Coventry have a lot of decent players. You are right I think they will improve quickly.

Yeah it’s purely a prediction on my part based on what I said about every position being stronger and the manager being better. But a prediction it is.

I'm a massive bellend (and a patronising prick)... in your opinion.

Also, you say Oxford have a better team, squad and manager than Cardiff... again, in your opinion.

My opinion is different to yours. I just don't get upset over words on a screen to someone I don't know and start throwing petty insults.

I think this may be the season that we do not escape the drop, its nearly Crimbo and we are down in the bottom three. Though the points are tight up to 11th place, a good run could help out but the last two results are poor. I think we are in trouble and the longer this manager situation goes on the less likely that we will get someone decent. Poor players not helping and Riza seems ok but dont think he is the answer to stop the rot, who is I do not know but until the board get their heads out of their arse then we are doomed. :bluebird:
