Wow, Sunderland on Half of our wage Bill :o and doing so well.

I am presuming that Leeds are Number 1 spenders on wages (not listed)

Hopefully we can turn things around on the pitch if not the wage bill ?

It shows how poor our club is run, we have a wage bill like that but have started the last two games with no striker on the pitch. :banghead:

We're not seeing much value for money at the moment.

Where do they get these figures from? The clubs aren't going to make them public. The only source that I can see would be Companies House and the latest published accounts for us are for year to May 23 so would be 18 months out of date.

capology.com is a well-respected website listing the salaries at sports clubs.

I suspect it must be reasonably accurate as, to purchase a licence, there is a charge of 2000 US Dollars - and that's just for the basic setup.

Sunderland's squad have a lot of players 24 or Under and have them on a correct wage compared to other clubs .
There set up is correct from last season giving youngsters the chance to play and have carried on to this season .

Cardiff wage bill in the year ended 31 May 23 was slightly under the figure quoted by about £1 million. I would be surprised if our bill has gone up since then. If it has it speaks volumes for the mismanagement at the club.
