Reading manager Ruben Selles has been granted permission to speak to Hull City regarding their head coach vacancy.
Selles, 41, has just over 18 months remaining on his Reading contract, so Hull would need to pay compensation, although that is not expected to be an issue.

A name that has come up before.
This is from Darrent Witcoop (normally reliable when it comes news about City):
Hull and Cardiff among the clubs keen on Reading boss Ruben Selles. Understand that Stoke were also a big fan of Selles before opting to appoint Narcis Pelach in September.

I wouldn’t believe a word that comes out of his mouth.
‘Normally very reliable” he’s never reliable.

He reported a few of the summer signings this year and last year before others did actually.

Hull have apparently interviewed several candidates and looking at more... but hope to make appointment soon.

Rather him go to Hull than end up here.

Disagree, would have him as our manager in a heartbeat.
The job he has done at Reading, considering everything else going on there, has been remarkable.
They are in a far worse state as a club than us but he's been their one bright spark.

He’s been great at Reading, I agree, but he was awful at Southampton and he has no championship experience, which everyone on here has been calling for.

Good luck to him their owner is unpredictable as hell...
