Protests?

Fri Nov 29, 2024 10:41 pm

For me I’m noticing people want protests when the results start slipping again did anyone want the board out when we went 6 unbeaten don’t think so?we should have got this board out the day he turned us red but we didn’t fans sold their selves down the river and has a club and a fan base I don’t think we’ve recovered,we need this board out have done for years I just don’t get some fans have a few good results no1 be asking for the board out then the clubs been run like an absolute joke for years and years but all stood back and let it happen

The majority on this forum have wanted the regime gone regardless of if we are winning or not.

Problem is, he isn’t going anywhere regardless of what we do, until he gets the price he wants.

I understand that but I see all over twitter oh win a few riza a genius lose a few oh tan out etc but all the fans have known we’ve been run like a joke for years?and I know he won’t go until the price he wants but has a fanbase have we ever put pressure on this board and told them how we really feel?we don’t let previous owners take the piss with us but tan is he don’t care about us and we’ve got to get them out in my opinion to ever go forward we ain’t going anywhere with these clowns on the board

I’d want Tan gone were we top of the league but I get your point.

We are a very fickle fan base recently. One win and the squad is amazing, one loss and we’re the worst team ever.

The problem is that the undercurrent of hatred towards Tan will always spew out when we are doing badly. This is why the scum needs to get out of our club for us to move on.

It's the same all the time Sam. Win a couple of games it's all world beater talk. Lose a few it's coach out or board out. It's f*cking boring these days but that's all that some know is championship football and maybe wasn't there during the dark days.

They want millions of pounds players and a world class managers, wins every week. Anything else it's "let's protest" or " sack them all" . Out fans would be crying about losing one game in ten they are that bad tbh.

Today modern football fan is embarrassing tbh they pay there money to go in the ground then start a chant of owner out and manager out so to speak. when in truth you've already paid in so they don't give a toss. It contradicts what your aiming for. Like you said there should of been a drive out when it all come around but fans seen £££££ wonga signs and new players which over looked the bigger problem in time which is where we are at now with a lower half championship squad that's the reality of it but some think we are more somehow
which I can't grasp so they cry every week :bluescarf:

Hindsight is a wonderful thing; but most supporters rode the wave of (initial) success and red apart, only started bleating when it started to stutter

The initial protests were well meaning and Sian was building a decent platform before certain elements took over and made it a futile and very divisive time to be a Bluebird

That’s why I appreciate the likes of Forever Blue and others, who stated their disdain for Vincent Tan and his plans but continued to support their club/team through thick and thin

We must remember that any owner is only ever temporary and at some point even Vincent Tan will move on. It’s a fact of life and we have to be a little patient until that time comes, as it surely will… :ayatollah:

AS i have said on the BOYCOTTING GAMES THREAD having an half empty stadium is pointless as we had that midweek playing QPR
I would prefer a full stadium protest

At a live sky tv game with all the cameras there and the canton end full of
"Tan out" banners and channting throughout the game Tan out
that would rattle his cage

We have the swansea game coming up in january probably,
live sky tv camera's there unless we have a live tv game before then
Protesting outside the stadium would achieve nothing
Inside for 90mins loud and proud infront of the camera's media pundits on sky tv would be more benificial than simply sittung at home or in the pub.

The OP makes a very good point.

Many of us have been wanting Tan to go for a long time, even when we were getting promoted or were in the Premier League - both times.

But there are others, both on here and social media, who are now calling for Tan to go because the team are struggling.

I have more respect for people who have consistently backed Tan (Wez for example), than people who are now calling for a new owner just because we're not going well.

Yes you have been consistent with that Monty, it's those that suddenly say they want him gone because of our league position that bothers me.

If the board don’t reply to the recent letter from a large promotion of our fans then protest is the only next step.

Protests nothing to do with just Tan. It’s the way this club is being run. The whole board - that needs to be the message.

How long can we keep avoiding league one?

Agreed Goats.

The letter will be laughed at behind the scenes.

Then Dalman and Choo will soon meet all the nodding fans who will come away and say they are happy and that their are plans in place and the future is bright lol

If you ask a question they don’t like, you don’t get invited again to a meeting.

Haha I tend to agree. I’m not sure anything will get through to Tan as he’s stubborn as a goat and doesn’t care but we need to grow a pair as a fan base.

We can never move on with him in charge. The rebrand will always be hanging over us and dividing opinion. I’d love for it to be the 80’s and we run him out of the club but that’s never happening so we need to be more clever.

It doesnt bother me that people are changing their mind on Tan because of our league position. The more that join me and the many thousands that want this man to sell our club and be gone without trace (Dalman and Choo with him) for good the better. The day the news broke about his vision and intentions with the rebrand, I was done with him, I wanted him gone that very morning, and have been solid and consistent with it ever since even when we changed back to blue. Every one has a tipping point, if its yet another season of managerial chaos and underwhelming onfield performances or as you put it our league position, so be it, no problem with that. Many were saying give Bulut a contract, top six etc, and it was the very league position you raise that caused many including yourself to change your mind. Its the same thing that you say bothers you!! It doesnt me, I have wanted this dictator gone for 12 years, . And Alan Whiteley said it was a price worth paying! Valley Rams said similar, TG said exciting time ahead. Look at us!

You can see how it looks Thor can’t you?we didn’t start protesting to go back blue until we were getting smashed every week in the prem the first time around we should have been protesting from the day he turned us red simple as that, riza was a genius a few weeks ago and no1 wanted tan and the board out then was all very quiet now we’ve gone on a sticky run again it’s the board out and tan out again, win Saturday all be quiet again that’s our problem with our fans at the moment we should all be united as one and get these clowns out once and for all
