We have two high quality young players.
Rubin Colwill and Alex Robertson.
Who of those two do you think would command the biggest fee in the future?
I've seen fair arguments for Rubin, who without doubt is very talented.
But I say it's Robertson. You can see in the way he plays that he was part of the Manchester City academy.
I believe that Colwill and Tanner play better when Robertson plays - they didn't get passes today that they would if Robertson was on the pitch.
When he was rumoured to be joining us, someone I know from Man City told me that he'd be worth at least 15/20m within two years.
Everything I've seen backs that up.
For the record, I think at some point that both players will command eight figure offers.

Tricky one:
Rubin is most well known and is getting better and better and is quality
Alex is quality , but is not so well known.
Rubin £15mill
Alex £10 -£12 mill
Both young and if they both continue to improve, both will be worth over £15 mill come the end of the season

Colwill without any competition. Robertson possibly if he can put a run of games together.

Can't argue with any of that, like you say Colwill is the better known of the two so that could edge it in fairness.
But this is the first time in a long time that I feel we have two players who could be worth £10m+ in the near future.
Pleased that Riza is using them after Bulut totally ignored them.

A player you openly criticised a few weeks ago and didn’t rate.

Robertson without a doubt.
I know I'll get slated for this but if Colwill played for anyone else & they said he was worth 15-20 million we would laugh at them. Maybe, hopefully, one day he'll be worth that much but not at the moment.

Didn't say I didn't rate him. Look through my posts.
Always said that I rate him highly but his performances didn't match that.
Have said I'm critical because I know he's capable of better.
But he has put in those high quality performances lately.
I will say I didn't believe a run of games would help him but I was wrong about that, he has been very very good.
Ni coincidence he's been better since Bulut left.
But please don't lie about my opinion, because I have never said that I don't rate him.

Who will go for the biggest transfer fee? Watch this space.

Reading not your strong point I guess. Nobody said in the future but right now, if you think Colwill is worth 15-20 million today then fine, that's your opinion & saying that mine is ludicrous just because it's different to yours is pathetic, try just saying you think I'm wrong & why rather than what you did say.
I would love it if Colwill was worth that much one day, be great for us & Wales but at the moment I believe he needs a much better end product before he is.

Both are going to be premier league players for me. Robertson is the more rounded player but Colwill has xfactor that clubs will throw money at. Just like strikers command the biggest fees, Colwills goal involvement has been massive since he's come in. If he starts scoring more goals then he won't be with us for much longer.
I hope he stays until at least next season as it would be brilliant to see the both brothers play.

I think we are all getting a bit carried away here.
I love Rubin but we carried him again today just for those flashes, he won't be able to get away with that at a higher level than bottom half championship.
Man city produces well-rounded players and Robertson looks another, but is he better than £4.5 million Tommy Doyle?
A month ago it looked like Darland. Its brilliant to think we have a few decent assets for once

At the moment I would say Robertson is worth the most but if Colwill can add goals to his game then his value might match Robertson’s.
Robertson is creative, mobile and can put his foot in. He’s a much more rounded midfielder at the moment but I do rate Colwill and hope this is the season he establishes himself.
By the way, I think Daaland will be worth more than the two of them by the end of the season.

I don’t think Ruben needs to add goals to his game to drive his value. I see him predominantly as a creator or supplier. Getting recognised for assists. Some of the balls he plays for team mates are sublime.
He’s also got great deadball skills to score a few from those over the years.
But as you also say, Daland is a player with value. Great to have at least 3 players who we all feel have healthy values. Add the likes of Turnbull and O’Dowda and the squad is building up its overall worth.

X swansea manager martin now with southampton is a big admirer and along with ipswich they will come sniffing january,
and if colwill carries on till the end of the season playing the same if not better i stick by my prediction he will be valued at 20 million
Sun Nov 03, 2024 11:52 am
I’d say Rubin right now, but Robertson could easily be.
Rubin is a creator, he has the vision and is always looking to create space and get people in behind.
Goals would be nice but ultimately not a massive thing as long as he creates.
Sun Nov 03, 2024 12:34 pm
This is a clear one with Rubin highest over all of the squad. Alex Robertson we paid 2m which is a clear good deal but Man City are clever and added a high percentage of resale.
I think Rubin now I would accept no less than 12m and Robertson is about 5m but potential to be 3 times higher in 2 seasons if he continues such promise
Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:09 pm
Think both not quiet there yet more consistency needed from Rubin and haven’t seen enough of Robertson he looks a decent player so far what I’ve seen but time will tell on both
Sun Nov 03, 2024 2:53 pm
I've gone with Ruben, Robertson needs more time to prove his worth but I've got no doubt he'll do that.
We've got some very promising youngsters at the moment in our first team squad. Ruben, Robertson, Tanner, Turnbull, Daland, Fish and Bagan. Add some of our very good accadamy players to that list and the future is looking good.

Come on boys are we auctioning our talent out of the front door lol I think they only worth 1m between them wink wink it’s great we do have young talent here but let’s keep them and build around them not see pound signs cos we not going to benefit out of it but I now a man who will

Didn't win this vote but I still say it's Alex Robertson.
That was a Premier League performance by him today.

Robertson by far !!
We’ll be lucky to keep him longer than this season contract or not.
