" Cardiff City FA Cup tie selected for TV coverage "

Cardiff City will face Sheffield United, away, in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round.

Our clash with the Blades has been selected for live television coverage on BBC Wales.

The match at Bramall Lane will take place on Thursday, 9th January 2025, with kick-off at 7pm.

The 2024/25 Third Round draw was made on the evening of Monday, December 2nd, 2024.

Ticketing information will be released in due course.

Awful kick off day and time.

Not ideal for anyone and not even a game worth showing.

The club should have medals struck for all City fans who travel to that game.

And BBC Wales should pay for their travel costs.

And it's a repeat of the fa cup final exactly 100 years before when in 1925 Sheffield United beat Cardiff City 1 nil at Wembley.

BBC Wales have ruined the FA Cup for me yet again. How many times have 3rd Round games been selected for live coverage at changed to ridiculous times? Fulham home springs to mind as one. 11.30 on a Sunday morning. I had wanted to go this one but wont be able to now. If they cant show on the weekend they shouldn't get it.
