Midfielder Kieron Evans says he is encouraged that Cardiff City boss Omer Riza has been in touch during his loan spell at Newport County.

Kieran Evans who is 23 years old and has only ever made 5 first team games for Cardiff City was given a shock New Contract after being sent out year after year to Non League Clubs, then after being given a New Contract was sent out to League 2 Newport County.

It has been said that Riza is thinking of calling EVANS back in January and a number of other players out on loan after his meeting with Vincent Tan.

Vincent Tan and Omer Riza have agreed that more of the younger players should be brought in to the first team squad like Tan did with Steve Morison.

If there's anyone we should bring back from League Two in January, it's Joel Colwill and not Kieron Evans.

Seen enough of Evans to know he's not good enough for the Championship. He's about to be 23 and would have showed some signs that he's good enough by now and he hasn't.

I happen to think Joel Colwill should be loaned to League One in January and not brought straight into our team.

But if they really want to recall anyone for the first team, then it's him.
