When Riza first took over we were playing high tempo, hunting the ball down in packs, scoring goals, unbeaten run of 6 games…
And now…quite possible the worst run of football I’ve witnessed in years.
Two awful teams tonight - city undone by an own goal and a defensive clanger, but we didn’t deserve anything…barely worked their keeper at all.
Tonight we played with two CAM’s - Colwill and Robinson. No natural striker, no one in the box with intent. I’d love to see the heatmap for Robinson - as an average is guess the halfway line. As the main attacking threat he must stay higher up the pitch. The problem is he’s not quick enough to get behind the defender nor strong enough to hold off the centre back.
In addition to this, the phases of play are too negative - always going backwards, whereas the early games of Riza it was all about flooding forward!! It’s all gone downhill.

I’m baffled too mate. We’ve regressed back into Bulut ball, if not even worse than that.
