The Protest Effect?

Fri Jan 17, 2025 12:43 pm

The Protest effect! Do you think the planned protest has already had an impact before its actually taken place? We have spent millions on signing a striker that has been needed for years. Has Tan finally accepted the dire situation we are in?

I doubt it.

We have needed a striker as you say. They have spent on other areas of the team so it’s not like we aren’t spending. They just don’t think there is value for money and now they think this guy is.

100%

Yes

For 4 yrs we’ve needed a Striker and suddenly we get one.

Total lies about how much he is.

I can’t say who, but a big name at the club rang me for nearly 1hr/30 mins.

By the end he understood why we are protesting.

More positives coming from the club recently. I believe all of the hype around the protest has had a positive impact. Let's hope we have turned a corner under Tan. Onwards and upwards :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Am I the only one thinking the protest was a ‘shock’ to Vincent Tan, as I firmly believe Mehmet Dalman and Ken Choo paint a rosier picture to him than is the reality…? :?

The publicity of the march will have certainly been seen by him; hence the ‘urgent’ meeting with non-FAB/Trust members…! :ayatollah:

Spot on Chris,

Dalman and Choo have asked to meet two / three Members of Our Committee in the next 10 days.

We’ve said yes but as long as NO Morgan and Trust, their mates.

Tan has even watched the Videos.

£500,000 upfront out of the £1mill we had for the bonus this month from McGuinness sale.

£500,000 when he’s scored 20 goals.

Plus add ons on appearances/ international appearances etc

Any idea of the add ons?

On their own website Sirius say Salech’s departure is a record sale for them, the previous being £2m. So bar a broken leg I’d imagine the targets would be pretty achievable.

I certainly hope our message hit home for Tan, I am not holding my breath though.

Despite our recent run and awesome derby day, fact remains February is upon us and we are 4 points off relegation with a rookie manager (as much as I like him) and tough games to come.

I think Salech and Maansverk may have been coming anyway and the march had no bearing on that. And they are hardly statement signings with bigger than previous outlays. I look forward to seeing the latter as I was made aware of him a few years back, as for Salech I like what I have seen, but I am far from being carried away as these are new to British football, young, lacking full match fitness and the rigours of the Championship may be something new to them, also I have seen these type of signings before from Europe and the majority of the time been disappointed. I hope they prove to be great business.

Grateful for the signings nonetheless, but it is to little to late from Tan for me.

What would it take for me not to march again, if we did? If he is not selling the club, It would make me a lot happier if he was just transparent and communicated open and honestly with us the fans and stops treating us as customers. And realise the main thing we want is a football man making the football decisions not business men. Do something about that! They are then accountable not you! Show some accountability and humility for your decision making and interfering of the last 14 years. . Show some appreciation that it is not his club, that its all about the fans, we are the heartbeat of this club, and not all about his beliefs, likes and dislikes. That he wouldnt be allowed to rebrand us today with new policies in place. I would rather admitting mistakes, put them behind us, turn the red seats to blue, keep the current badge permanently and rid us of the oriental dragon/worm and give us a new shirt sponsor for once instead of his country. Thats a statement of intent without spending millions in the transfer window. Even better have a serious chat with Wayne Nash about our concerns in the stadium. With a little bit more investment in the playing squad than previous seasons, improved recruitment and scouting. if he could address all these I would support him. Talk to us not those who are under your spell. His behaviour patterns of those 14 years suggest Im wasting my time in hoping he can change. Until he does, TAN OUT!

Don' t exspect to see Vinny in the canton end or below it waving to the fans or even at any game he has lost interest in cardiff city .

No impact whatsoever, the transfer windows would have been the same either way.

But they’ve asked for a meeting and our fans got a lot of passion back and pride unlike Tans like yourself who have none.

There is a meeting with Dalman and Co in the next 10 days.

There WILL be another protest.

The first one wasn't just for thrills! We have suggested streamlining the committee, and will learn from the first march the make the next one even bigger and better.

Difficult to be sure as the sentence was written so badly but seems like you’re trying to say I have no passion for the Club? Of so then that’s utter bollocks and you don’t even know me. Just because I’m not one of your lapdogs on here. What was not true about my post about the in investment? And why would there be a need for debt if we weren’t spending money?
I’ve no love for Tan, I think the Club is being run badly actually. But not as bad as when Sam screwed us over and left us for dead.
