“ Omer Riza “

Huge credit to him today.

With the sad news he received this week, he still prepared the team perfectly for this game.

His emotions spilled over at the end but I actually loved the passion.

Well done Omer.

Couldn't agree more. Losing his father was horrendous but he prepared the team with the tactics that won the game. For me City wanted it more than the Jacks and the players all gave 100% for Riza.

Unfairly slagged off by lots of fans including on this board. He's just achieved the best result against that lot in 60 years. Sensational performance especially in a week he lost his Dad too. Genuinely believe this can be a spring board to keep us up. Let's get behind him now.

Yes hats off to Omar today. Condolences on the loss of his Daf.

He’s changed my opinion and I’ll happily admit that, if he can continue getting that kind of passion and play out of the lads then let’s go!

Hopefully the club will apply for his red card to be overturned, not fair he gets barged across his own technical area and the scum didn’t even get a yellow for putting his hands on the manager. Also extenuating circumstances saw he’s emotions running high.

I think it wouldn't get overturned as the manager going on the pitch like that is an automatic red card, extenuating circumstances or not.

He's a lovely bloke. Today he set us up perfectly. There are big shoots of optimism that he has us moving in the right direction all across the squad. If you look at the 21 games he's been in charge we are a comfortable middle of the table team. IF we stay up, this is starting to look like a very good beginning of a decent squad, and no I am not getting carried away. A lot of the disappointment from Rizas team since he has been at the helm has been the wins we've turned in to draws.

Love the passion, a bit harsh from the referee but I guess no arguments. Credit when due for Riza!

It was a really cheap shot by the Jack tw*t…he made no attempt to avoid the collision with Riza

Some’s them up cheating, gutless tossers

Couldn't agree more, deserves all the plaudits today. His team fought for him right from the first whistle to the last.

So glad he got his victory...perfect timing considering what's happened.

We were all rooting for you today Omer!!!

He picked the perfect team especially with Ralls starting and finishing.
His substitutions were made at the right time and not too early to disrupt the performance.

Huge respect for the boss after his very recent and devastating news.

Well done Riza, and the crowd sang his name too :bluescarf:

He’s clearly very popular with the players. If he can get a tune like this out of him then he’s doing something right. The new defence coach too seems
To be having an effect. Long may it continue

Yes he was fantastic today after the week he's had.

Picked the right team, got them up for it and very well organised.

Well done Omar

I haven’t posted for a while, but today has really rejuvenated my interest in watching Cardiff City. The atmosphere all around the stadium was unreal, the return of the ayatollah on mass had a 90s feel to it, a team that pressed as a collective unit, passion and togetherness, and a ‘this one’s for your Dad’ chant aimed at the tactically spot on Omar, after the sad passing of his father, showing a touch of class.

He was outside the technical area though too close to the pitch.

Never getting overturned that.

Sadly, this one is clear even if it’s unfair.

However if any red card will endear him to the club and fans it’s this.

The way I saw it he was out of his technical area and Franco was running at him for the ball and bounced into him. Not sure he did a lot wrong. Can see why Riza reacted with the emotions etc.

I loved the fans’ singing to Riza, the way the players stuck up for Riza and in fact the whole thing. This could really be a turning point I feel in so many ways.
