Chris Burke

I totally underestimated Chris Burke back in the day, but someone similar would be a perfect signing for us now. A player that can dribble with pace, and carry the ball from defence to attack. We really need something more on the wings.

I remember when we first signed him, people weren’t happy because he would run into players. Said to give him time, just needs to adapt, then the rest is history. Was a good player for us.

He plays on the left

He plays on the right

That boy Chris Burke

Makes Routledge look shite!

I always rated Burkie and agree he would be an ideal fit into this team. His positioning was always good, he got his share of goals, could beat a man and lay on goals for his team mates. Scotland has always been a good hunting ground for us and I'm surprised we don't do more business up there.

Totally agree.

There wouldn't be many with a bad word about Burky even when he wanted to be closer to his family

I am not sure if he would fit. He was a 442 Winger like CO'D and he isn't clinical enough for that attacking role in the modern 4231. Ashford is almost out of the box model for that position on the right, he can run in behind, carry the ball, strike it, and defend.

I don't think CO'D, Tanner or Willock play their best game there either. I think Tanner is best in a 433, CO'D 442 and Willock is a L1 AMC.

We do need potency in that position

Watched him come through at Ibrox and always thought he’d end up in a major European League. He seemed to be a bit injury prone and spent a lot of time on the treatment table.

Yeah be great to have a winger who mainly dribbles and trys to take people on, but nice to have slightly different option to Tanner/Ashford/Willock

Hopefully a loan end of window or something
