Robertson and Tanner not in the squad at all, that's a surprise. Didn't look like they were injured but they must be.
O'Dowda obviously not in because of his injury.
Think Salech will get more minutes today, a lot to ask Robinson to play a lot of minutes again.

wow robertson injuried?

I would not have dropped Ashford

Ashford not starting …Meite ..surprised as Ashford is buzzing at mo !
Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:06 pm
Not sure about miete for ashford
Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:09 pm
Robertson, Tanner and Odowda are 3 big misses
I’m sure Siopis and Bagan will do ok but time for Willock and Colwill to step up!!

Millwall: Jensen, Cooper, Tanganga, Bryan, Langstaff, Leonard, Watmore, Saville, De Norre, Bangura-Williams, Scanlon.
Subs: Roberts, McNamara, Wallace, Hutchinson, Mitchell, Connolly, Ivanovic, Honeyman, Crama.

Ashford on the bench why He is full of confidence
Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:14 pm
That looks poor. When we play Robinson and Colwill in the same starting 11 we are too open. They are too alike both ok with the ball, but not very athletic and poor out of possession and not closing down. Neither works hard enough off the ball. I thought Riza had learnt that.
Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:15 pm
I would have started Ashford
Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:15 pm
Disappointed with the selection. Meite should have gone with Kanga and Colwill shouldn't be starting imo. Ashford on the bench ? Perhaps he's tired. Didn't know Roberston and Tanner were injured? Resting players is a gamble at this stage. We need to use the current momentum and feel good factor to our advantage.

I don't think Robertson and tanner are injured I just think riza doesn't wanna risk them playing 3 times in a week and is keeping them fresh for derby Saturday, Robertson had a bad hamstring injury last season and tanners not long back from injury so makes sense not to over load them and risk losing them long term
Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:20 pm
Robertson is the big miss, been brilliant lately.
I think Ashford could have started too.
Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:20 pm
Who said OFT and Robertson are injured? Perhaps they are being rested after a quick turnaround from Saturday, which was also a quite emotionally charged match.

Monty....Maybe riza will bring on Ashford same time as new guy?

Agree. Certainly not throwing my toys out the pram about these changes.
You'll note the back 5 are unchanged which is sensible.

It's a very strong bench so unless we are 3 down halftime it's more than capable of scoring couple of goals..... as you say defence unchanged and ghats more important

Unlike some on here I don't think Meite is a waste of space. He came on for Ashford Saturday & this is just rotating one for the other so I expect the opposite swap today. Robertson is the strange one unless he has picked up a knock or some illness since Saturday.

Strange that Ashford has been dropped. Thought he has played very well lately.
Slightly worrying about Robertson and Tanner. Didn’t think they had picked up any knocks but must have ultimately.
Good to see Bagan and Rino starting. Both have been excellent for us

Hopefully OFT / Robertson just rested as a precaution.
For me, if you're on the bench, technically, you're not dropped. I'd expect Ashford to come on at some point - hopefully against tiring defenders.

Riza just said on Sky that there were "a few forced changes".

I can see that being the case.
Two important players for us and makes sense not to risk anything after their injuries.
Meite has looked a lot more dangerous lately and Colwill can change a game if he’s on form.
Not overly worried about the changes strength wise
