" Salech saves the day "

Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:56 pm

After a poor performance, Yousef Salech comes on to get us a late point.

The unbeaten run goes on.

Disappointing performance tonight.

We all said the team selection was strange and so it proved.

Thankfully our new striker came on and saved the day.

I get a couple of enforced changes had to be made but five was too many.

Millwall weren't brilliant but we were way off it.

Not a good performance but we'll take the point.

Need to beat Derby on Saturday now.

Have we found a striker at last! Salech poached a great equaliser! Disappointing performance but huge point and that's all that matters.

He's scored more than Kanga already too

Wasn’t a great performance but overall I thought we were the better team

Definitely deserved something from the game!!

That was like watching two Cardiff and district teams playing on pontcanna fields in the 90’s. Glad we got something out of it though after such a poor performance. Really pleased for Salech getting the goal, he looks a good buy.

Yes at last.
I think we have ouselves a player. After all the dud centre forwards we have bought.
Athletic
Challenges
Can head the ball :bluebird: :bluebird:
Closes down
Gets stuck in
And ….
Scores

If he says fit we will be ok. BUT dont play Colwill and Robinson TOGETHER in the same starting 11 ….,PLEASE

Big centre forwards don’t peak early

The kids just turned 23!

No surprise really, the pitch was almost as bad as a pitch at Pontcana fields.

Massive point that, keeps Millwall in sight and keeps the run going.

A huge amount of energy went into Saturday and a last minute goal makes the journey home feel a lot better!!

New striker gets a goal early so that takes that pressure off as well.

Rest up before another big game against a team around us!!

Nice for him to get that first goal out of the way early, hopefully he will flourish now and keep it up.

The Millwall and Swansea forums match day threads are a thing of beauty tonight. Both sets of fans saying they have had a massive kick in the b@llocks, and especially the jacks who saw we equalised in the last seconds. Beautiful.

Yeah the pitch was terrible. It played a big part in the Millwall player, and the replacement going off injured.

As bad as the pitch was, the inability of Meite and Colwill to stay upright is shocking.

I have just said about meite on
Brought back down to earth thread,

There must be another player somewhere in the world who is better than meite he would never be near my sqaud just a bull and thats it ,
absolutely nothing from him time for him to be shipped out ,
not even a good sub,
Cannot understand riza picking him.

I know. He wasn’t far off scoring a screamer in the first half but everything else was dreadful.

In the short time we have seen him there does look like something is there that we have been missing for a long time.

I don't want to tempt fate but the next few appearances are something to look forward to now. With Davies and Etete coming back we might have the luxury of getting most of our players playing in their right positions. We just might start forming a decent team.
