Adblocker Message

Anyone else having an issue with this message popping up every 3rd or 4th post even though their ad blocker has always been disabled for this site?

Yeah me too. Christ if I turn my add blocker of I'll never be able to read anything

Anyone know how to stop this adblocker message from appearing as I don’t want to disable my Adblocker

So further to my original post I have tried this website on 3 different browsers, Firefox, Edge & Chrome and the issue seems to be at its worse on edge with the message popping up every 3 or 4 refreshes, Chrome is okay but the ads are a little unbearable as I get different ads to all of you except maybe Baltimore blue while Firefox which has in the past been unusable for this site due to the weird message only I was getting is now working just fine.

As with stickywicket I also use duckduckgo & have for about 5 years loaded onto Firefox, I have the others as some sites (5%ish) will not work on Firefox and I have been banned by a couple of sites which won't let me back on to sign out of & use a different (new)user name .

Admittedly a bit of a first world problem but grateful for a solution.

Yes, This adblocker started coming up now for about 2-3 days ago and bloody annoying.

Do not know for sure but seems to be about the same time as a FIREFOX update - If it continues I may restart with the earlier version in recovery on windows?

Why would you wish to turn off your adblocker? Always a bit weary of stuff like this being a scam malware ?

The site needs ads to survive, this stuff doesn't happen for free & my ad blocker has always been turned off for this site for just that reason. The fact I'm still getting the message is the annoying part but if you're happy to have your ad blocker turned on for everything then good for you & more power to you.

I have downloaded Duckduck, but it only fills three-quarters of the screen, not the full size like Safari, I tried their site to see how to get the full screen, but the AI chat instructions were useless. Does anyone have any tips on how to get a full-screen?

Found how to do it now. It is so simple and so much for AI knowledge if this is what the government is going to spend money on, then what a waste of money.

Or use the Brave browser that blocks all adds

We had this problem before and if memory serves, the fix is to delete cookies and site data for this site and that will stop this particular pop up. I use chrome on an android phone mostly and it's easy to do just by clicking on the two bars with circles on that are in the URL bar, should be easy enough to do on whatever device and browser your using though.

Seems to have been sorted now

Hopefully it has been fixed now. As a temporary measure, it's been set to show up once every 7 days rather than every 3-4 views as it seemed to be. We aren't able to disable it completely, but hopefully can make sure it doesn't show up for anyone that isn't using an ad blocker.
