Newport County have confirmed Cardiff loan man Kieron Evans will be out of action for four to six weeks through injury.
The midfielder picked up a calf knock in the weekend match against Barrow and now faces a spell on the sidelines.
"Newport County can confirm that midfielder Kieron Evans is set to be sidelined for up to 4-6 weeks after sustaining a calf injury during Saturday’s match against Barrow," the Exiles wrote on their website.
"EVANS will be 24 yrs old this year, joined the Exiles on loan from Cardiff City in August, was brought off in the second half of Saturday's match and will now focus on his rehabilitation as he looks to make a full recovery."
After being out on loan the last 3-4 Seasons to Non League Clubs Evans finally stepped up to League 2 (Div 4) with Newport County.
Evans was out of contract this Summer, The Transfer Committee gave him another contract for one year then sent him to Newport for the whole of this season ????

Should never have been given a new contract, such a bizarre decision.
