You're thinking of the movie Moneyball with Brad Pitt. If you can get past the fluff there is an interesting story about the revolutionary use of statistics in there. Baseball is all about the numbers & I have no idea if it translates to football.

You're thinking of the movie Moneyball with Brad Pitt. If you can get past the fluff there is an interesting story about the revolutionary use of statistics in there. Baseball is all about the numbers & I have no idea if it translates to football.
Brentford would only buy a player after looking at all their stats if didn't go above set standards didn't sighn them....it took 8yrs plus 170m of buying & selling before got it right for promotion...

I think Warburton resigned over it. But whilst I was a sceptic at the time and still am to an extent,I never thought such a side would become a very useful Premier League side
