MY VIEW: CARDIFF WENT IN TO A GREAT 2-0 START / THEN 3-3 / THEN PENALTIES AND RUBIN SCORED THE WINNER

What a thriller of a game.

RUBIN COLWILL THE HERO

CARDIFF IN TO THE FACUP 5TH RD

PENALTIES: 2-4

Ralls Scored
1-1

Salech hit over the crossbar
Still 1-1 they missed

Chambers Scored
Yes Horvath Saved
1-2

Willock Scored
2-3

Yes Rubin 2-4

CARDIFF STARTED WITH A STRONG TEAM AND STARTED BRILLIANTLY/ BUT LET STOKE BACK IN IT / THEN CAME BACK.

FACUP 4TH RD:

8th Min: WHAT A START, GREAT RUN BY RUBIN COLWILL MADE THE MOVE HIMSELF & WHAT A FINISH 1-0

Ramsey was back and as Captain and 2 of City’s New Signings Started, Sivert Mannsverk & Striker Yousef Salech.

Stoke had 9 players out / 2 Cup ties / 7 injured.

19th min New Striker Salech, all on his own controlled ball past the goalie and bang 2-0 YES

After Stoke had been allowed to attack Cardiff for 10mins, Cardiff sat back and bang
41st min:
Burger played Koumas in behind the away defence and the Welshman slotted home 1-2

SECOND-HALF:

46th min: Koumas tore us apart then finished it 2-2
We knew he was the problem in the first-half.

Jesper Daland replaced Giles 46th min.

Then Daland brings Stoke player down, they get a penalty 56th min, 3-2

Then Daland injured replaced by Chambers.

62mins Ralls and O’Dowda on for Ramsey & Mannsverk

RUBIN YES AGAIN : 68mins Brilliant work from Willock and O'Dowda down the left. Bonham can only clear O'Dowda's shot to the edge of the box, and Rubin fires us level! Come on! (3-3)

81mins Will Alves replaced El Ghazi

So 90 mins came plus 8mins injury

Then 15 mins extra time 3-3

Then 15 mins more 3-3

Then Penalties:

STOKE CITY 3 CARDIFF CITY 3 ( AET )
H-T 1-2

Well done Omer Riza, great result.

Colwill brilliant. But I just wish he could play well regularly and not just a few times a year.

Glad he had the moment of scoring the winning penalty, deserved that today.

Yes he’s not consistent but then neither are many of our players - Daland, NG, Willock, Robinson and more.

If they all played their best game every game we’d be in the top six.

My point is that people constantly say he's a top player and many on here will say that tonight. But without that consistency, he's not.

There have been hundreds of players who have the quality but without the consistency, they'll go nowhere.

Nobody wants Rubin Colwill to be the next Ravel Morrison.

14 goals in over 100 appearances.

If that was any other player they'd get criticism, there's no special rules for Colwill just because he turns up every six months.

He’s not a Striker, Never has been and Never will be.

Creates a lot and has a lot of qualities.

You really have it in for him, Ned.

Find another player please

I'm just sick of people making out he's a top player when he only turns up every six months

He's an attacking player and I'd expect more goals/assists from a player who has played that many games.

You shouldn’t listen to people who call him a top player, as I don’t. I make my own opinion.
I judge him as a championship player who has bags of skill and is developing later than some.

I’m a fan and I don’t understand why you pick on him as opposed to half a dozen or more City players.

Yes, he could be more consistent, but for me, the only players we have recently who are consistent are Rinomhota, Goutas, Chambers and Bagan when he plays.

I don't pick on him, I just balance things out when so many are saying it's the second coming of Maradona.
